Hi, I have a 5 month old dwarf. I am not sure if it is an American or a British POlish. Either way, I love him to death. He is very smart and greets me when I come home from work. He is broken blue. By
reading the differences of the 2 I think I have a british Polish. But he is very smart and also has a temperment and loves to pull carpet.

I own a Polish Dwarf and a Holland Lop. Their temperaments are completey different. My Dwaft took so long to bond with, she would let me hold her but she'd be really moody about it and wouldn't come near me the rest of the day. She was my first rabbit so i didn't even know what breed she was at first because i bought her from a pet store. They told me she was a Lionhead ( there is no way my rabbit's a lionhead) but anyway. I stopped trying to get her to come to me and she was happier. I just did things as i normally would and she became intreseted in everything i did. At first she wouldn't come over to me, but slowly she started inching closer and closer as i cleaned her cage and fed and watered her. Then one day my aunt's dog came into my room and started barking at her. I shooed the dog out and let annabelle out of her cage and she hopped right onto my lap and kept pushing my hand, so i started petting her head and back, and ever since she won't leave my side. she follows me around the house and sits in my lap when i'm reading or working. She even lets me clip her nails w/o flnching. My holland though was cuddly since i got him, and i love him for it he's a sweet heart. But it's nothing like the bond i have with annabelle, my bond with her seems so much stronger and i think it's because of the time it took to bond. She trusts me completly and she's so smart. She litter box trained herself and she learns quickly, with repitition. I think Polish Dwafts are a great first rabbit as long as you have enough patience to let them come to you, because in the end it's all worth it.

I have a polish dwarf named Zaccorone. He is very smart and I didn't even have to litter train him, he figured it out all on his own. He is very sweet but can get moody and scratch sometimes. He is always looking for something to chew on, sometimes even me. He likes to be petted but he needs his own freedom and hates to be handled, it is even hard to get him out of the cage. But I still love his cute personality and he is a great pet, even though he can be a pest every once in a while.

I have a Britannia Petite named Pixel and she's a sweety! She loves doing binkies by the mirror and getting into trouble. She also loves to terrorize cardboard paper rolls and boxes. She loves to eat everything in sight so I have to be careful about what I leave down, and how much I feed her each day to keep her healthy. Pixel is a great companion!

Well..I am getting a Polish baby bunny for my daughter's birthday. She is turning 11, after reading all your comments I think the polish bunny is the right choice. I will definitely heed the warnings and get the bunny spayed/nuetered. Thank you all for your informative comments, and will let you all know how things turn out.

Some people say that getting a Polish Dwarf rabbit is a good idea for young children and as a first rabbit. As for what I think, Polish Dwarf rabbits are a good first pet as long as you don't abuse the bunny and realize that the little guy has his feelings and moods too. Another tip would be...don't play with the bunny 24/7. These guys get temperamental sometimes. Keep up with all of bunny's needs and you've got a friend for life.

Polish rabbits are great. I own and show polish rabbits, for about five years now. Right now I have 23 rabbits, all of them have names. The american polish breed is my breed. I love their size and their personalities. I love them because their great. I hand raise them from the time they are born. I don't know why people say bad things about them, must be getting them mixed-up with Britannia Petite, because I have been around them for many years and even before I got one of my own they were great that is why I have so many. I just guess it is how you raise them. Find a breeder that knows their stuff and talk to judges they are helpful. Go Polish Rabbits "The Little Aristocrat."
