Holland lops rock. I've had several. one named hope, another named toby, one named clayton, one named rudy, and the final ones a black doe named terra. anyways well ya see something really wierd happened to my friend. ya see she has her rabbit outside and one spring day her rabbit was in heat and she did not know that. she has a very large yard that's fenced in so no animals besides the ones in her yard can get in. but anyways she saw a cottontail buck and she watched as it went over and then to her suprise it mated with her holland. I did not believe her. well her bun had the litter and I saw they looked like lop eared cottontails!

I have had many different kinds of pets.My current "zoo" includes sugar gliders, guinea pigs, hamsters, and 2 holland lops. ANd I can say without a doubt the best pets I have ever owned are my bunnies. They are quiet, affectionate, calm, gentle, and overall very very sweet. I highly recommend anyone looking at getting a house rabbit to get a holland lop.

I am a second grade teacher in Iowa. I brought my mini holland lop to my classroom this week. I think people would get a kick out of what we are doing. We are writing a journal for Neil Diamond, that's his name. Guess what he did last night? He got out of his cage , paged all the other animals in the building to come to Room 14 for a party. The ferret and gerbil and hamster came. They discoed all night long and ate Gummi worms from the cupboard. That's why Neil was so tired this morning!

I'm so jealous that everyone has such wonderful holland lops! Mine's kind of a pain, I was hoping someone else could relate, but oh well. I love Napoleon to death, he's the cutest thing I've ever seen, but he's impossible to pick up or pet. He bothers the cats when he's in "heat" or whatever it's called for male bunnies. I hope that by neutering him next month, he will calm down and stay away from my kitties behinds! He is easy to take care of and love even though I haven't found a way to hold him just yet. He buzzes a lot too, and I just adore it. I know deep down that he loves me. He's recently started laying on the couch with me, so maybe he's coming around!

Holland Lops are the best pets ever! My little bunny, Stardust Snack, died on Jan. 10, 2006. I miss him very much. He died in our arms, a very, very brave bunny. He was almost 9 years old, had one tooth left and a twinkle in his eyes. He was white with soft grey ears and beautiful brown eyes. He was sick with a cold and was under medication for it. At about 5 AM he woke me by clanging his bowls together. A signal he used for me to give him some more food. I ran to the kitchen to give him more food, and I found him by his bowls with his right hind leg in his bowl. I tried to help him jump out of the bowl and I noticed his leg could not move. I woke my sweetie and he noted that Stardust had probably had a stroke because he couldn't hop and he could barely sit up. We both took turns holding him. We put him on the floor and he moved toward his favorite kitchen spot. We picked him up and when he was put on it he laid down. We both gently put our hands on him and shortly after he took his last breath. He gave us time to say goodbye. I love him always. He was easy to litter train.

I had 2 holland lop bunnies in my life. Coco, died in my arms ...ate rubber tree leaf....poisioned.
Sunny Bunny replaced her. She was white and brown and coco was
brown like hot choc.. Sunny went to a good home during a bad time
in my personal life.
They (Holland Lops) are the greatest pets.. Both of mine were litter box trained. It is as easy as training a cat. They take to the idea easily. Just make sure their toilet is available. Electric cords need to be taped up to the walls high enough that they cant reach. Bunnies love to chew. Provide salt lick, Mineral salt lick, or the like.. Small one...Alfalfa or some green straw for bedding...Pine Shaving mixed with some Cedar shaving, controls bugs... yeah! Been there Done that!!!Geraldine

UPDATE: Rebeka Picasso Furrybottom. Rebeka is almost 10 mos old now. Last month Rebeka was spayed. It was very difficult to leave her at the vet. I was relieved that every thing went fine. However, there was some concern about giving Rebeka pain meds. The vet was afraid that the pain meds would mess up her tummy. As a result, I had to stay up all night with my baby while she was in tremendous pain. Rebeka was crying out she was hurting so bad. I did not leave her, I held her all night. She was able to go to sleep the next morning and by the afternoon Rebeka was drinking water and eating hay. This experiance has brought us closer together and I am so proud of Rebeka for enduring such a challanging time. I will get photos of Rebeka up as soon as I can. I will write back soon.

I went on this website a year ago and I read these reviews, and I now own the sweetest most curious most playful most cutest bunny ever! His name is Dust and he is the joy in my life. I love to take him with me everywhere, and he loves coming with me. I honestly feel that he loves me back just as much. He waits for me to come home and gets so happy to see me, I'd choose him over any dog any day! I really recommend that you get a Holland Lop, they are so sweet and wonderful. I don't know how I could've lived my life without him before. God really has blessed me with this bunny.
