I have a Holland lop for about a month now. Eating & drinking fine. He acts fine but lately I've noticed he's peeing & pooping a lot. Should I be concerned?

No....this just means that she could be digesting a certain food wrong so all you have to do is figure out what food is making it feel that way and stop feeding it that.

Your rabbit is spraying and marking his territory. It is normal for females and males to do this. Trust me it is true. I am in ABRA American Rabbit Breeder Association and breed rabbits. My little buck [male] does that all the time.

Hi! We just purchased a Holland Lop last week. We have kept him in his cage unless we are holding him. I am nervous to let him out. I'm scared I won't be able to catch him if he starts to run. When we go to get him out of his cage he tries to "hide" from us & acts as if he is scared. Is this normal?

All bunnies love to hop around. It might be good to just let him explore his area ( bunny safe of course) make sure there are no wires out. If frightened they can run very fast, but for the most part they just want to see their world and will hop around slowly and cautiously. If my bunnies get out and I need to get them back in a hurry, I will get on the floor and slowly move towards them. They usually think that I am coming in for kisses and I can easily pick them up.

Always be gentle and sweet to your bunny. Never let a child pet them too hard or scare them. Be calm when talking to them. You need to let them know that you are a safe place for them. Your bunny is still learning about his new home. It may take some time for him to see that you're his new mommy :)

Remember that rabbits are animals of prey, so being afraid to come out is normal. You should consider buying a rabbit leash for your rabbit. I use the cat rope leashes for my rabbits, because they don't come off. You can get one at Petsmart. If you sat in your room all day you would be super board. Think of how your rabbit feels.

Hey again, my bunny is Budha, sorry I spelled it wrong the first time. I just wanted to say if you are getting a holland lop bunny any time soon, make sure you are ready for it! They need tons of food and even more love! *keep their cage somewhere where people are actively around, and make sure they can hear your voice regularly!* My Budha is a sweety, and I'm sure yours will be too!

I just bought a holland lop yesterday and he is really great. His name is Butah (because he is chubby and always happy), and he is only 5 weeks old. There were a bunch of hollands to choose from, but I wanted a male because they are the most calm and relaxed. he also has a really rare colouring, he's black, brown, and white spotted with a all-white belly. He is the cutest bunny i've ever seen! Butah loves my attention and even though he is active and curious, he always enjoys snuggling with me by the T.V! I really recommend getting a holland lop. they're the best!

We just bought two Holland Lop bunnies from a man in Lake Elsinore CA. If still looking to buy a bunny, I believe he has one left at this time. The Bunnies were born in Feb of this year. The one he has left is grey(or I guess BLUE) not sure if male or female. They are $20.00. Email if interested for contact info.
