I have a dwarf bunny named Baby who I just adore every single day.We have had him since he was 4 weeks old.We have had no problems with him except for the fact that he is a picky bunny! He doesnt even like carrots! He has a very funny personality and I think he thinks he is a cat! He has his own toys that he loves to throw around. Even though I love my bunny,it is a lot of work every day. Its like a marriage,if your not commited, then dont get one, they are not for everyone!

I have the most special holland lop ever! He is sweet and very caring. His name is Floppy because of his ears. When he runs they flop up and down.I had one who died about 2 yrs. ago.I thought I would never be able to have one again until I met Floppy. He was just a tiny baby when I fell in love with him. Almost a year and a half I still call him my baby boy. I will never give up on him.

I had a Holland Lop named Ishi. She was the best pet I ever had. We were able to litter box train her after she was 8wks old. She also would run up to us when we called her and give us kisses when we gave her treats. She recently passed away, and we think a hawk attacked her. We miss her very much. Her personality was priceless.

I have a four year-old minilop, and she is definitely one of the cutest rabbits Ive ever seen. The little tuft of really soft fur on the backs of their heads is so wonderful to pet. If you want a minilop, ADOPT ONE. I work at a shelter. There are too many bunnies for there ever to be enough homes for them all. We get a lot of lops, minilops, and all sorts of bunnies in every day.

Rabbits are NOT the ideal pet for all children, no matter what breed, even minilops. Yes, many are good with children, and calm, and gentle, etc. But kids can lift rabbits up incorrectly, hold them awkwardly, scare them, and they may even drop them. These are all things that are very stressful and even dangerous for a prey animal. Before you get a rabbit make sure you know what you are getting into. Check out more info at www.rabbit.org.

I have never, EVER felt anything as soft as a Rex rabbits fur. If only they would let you cuddle them more! I was going through some of my grandmothers old things, and we found a winter coat, trimmed in Rex fur. I nearly started crying. My mini-Rex is the reason I will NEVER wear fur.

Even though this is a small breed, they need just as much space as the larger bunnies. They are just bursting with energy, and love to tear around the room doing the Bunny-500. My friend just adopted a pair, and they are just the cutest things. They are not really good for small children as they are not as sturdy (they can be easily hurt) or mellow as some of the larger breeds may be. Check out www.rabbit.org for more info on everything rabbit!

It makes me sad to here that these rabbits are often given as Easter presents. I was given a Polish Dwarf when I was eight years old, and little Oliver was not even weaned yet! He was very weak and very sick, but no one told me how to take care of a rabbit. Polish Dwarves are very small, very good little escape artists, and one night Oliver managed to get out of the bin he was in and under the bedroom door. The cat bit him (luckily, my mom heard the commotion), but the stress and subsequent infection killed Oliver in less than 12 hours. I was devestated. Please, DO NOT EVER give anyone a rabbit (even if it is your own child) unless you know they will be going to a good forever home. (www.rabbit.org)

I have an adorable holland lop named baby. She is so gentle and sweet and loves being held like a baby. She is very affectionate as well. She licks you when shes happy (which is almost all the time), and when she wants to mate with our other rabbit or wants to go outside, she barks. She has long fluffy fur that is white and carmel. She has little brown tips on her ears and a little bit on her nose. She actually looks very much like a smores. She is very docile and is just like a dog. Rabbits are not boring at all, especially holland lops. She also gets along great with our dog. They cuddle up together on the couch with me while I am reading and never fight. I love her so much! I would definitely suggest a holland lop as a pet to those who have the time and patience.

I got a holland lop last year for christmas from my sister! She is adorable!! She is all black and her name is Zoe. I keep her in a medium sized cage in my room but i let her out on the floor in my house to run around. She is now trained to not use the floor as a bathroom so i let her out more often. She is the most frendliest, nicest rabbit ever!!
