I got a Havana bunny named Cupcake about three years ago from the Humane Society in Laveen, Arizona. I had always wanted a pet bunny when I was a child, but we moved around so much my parents wouldn't let me have one. Cupcake is amazing...I am so glad I got her! She is soft and sweet, and she is very curious about everything. My parents love to watch her for me when I go out of town (they call her their grand-bunny), and they always buy her new toys and treats. Everyone loves her, she even gets to come to the office with me sometimes. If anyone is thinking about getting a pet rabbit, I would definately recommend a Havana. I would also suggest checking out your local small animal rescue or Humane Society...you never know what you might find!

I want to buy a small pet but my mum doesn't want me to. I'm thinking of getting a mouse but my parents think they are too smelly my next option is a rabbit should I get one? And are they too expensive?

I've had a rabbit before and I'm going to get another one here in a week and they make great pets. Just do some research on them and you'll know what to expect the only real problem with them is they like to chew and get into things but as long as you keep an eye on it and bunny proof the areas it will be around it should be fine. Their cost varies depending on where you get it from and what kind you want but usually they don't cost much at all. Rabbits are wonderful pets, they don't bark and they can be liter box trained just like a cat. (:

I am trying to breed my english spot and I need to know exactly how much it would cost to breed her to my standard rex?

Not sure what you mean about cost, as you own both the rabbits. A breeder may be able to answer your questions best. You could check with the American Rabbit Breeders Association.

I just got a Havana Dutch baby yesterday and she's so sweet. I named her carmel and I'm getting her sister too. My sister, the one I got my bunny from, says she's a silver so I'm very confused

Don't be confused, one is the color and the other the name. She is a Silver Havana Dutch and I am sure she is adorable. Also sometimes bunnies fur color will change slightly as they mature.

OK thank you. My other is solid black with the white hairs everywhere. But I am happy I know what they are now Thanks So Much

I wanted to know if there is any advantage to spaying my jersey wooly she is nine weeks old and what reduces the odor in the urine as they get older?

It is better to spay or neuter a bunny if it is to be a  house pet.  Helps with odor, poor behavior and in general allows your bunny to be a better pet.  You have to make sure your vet knows what they are doing when it comes to bunnies though.  Most do not.

Bunny Love - 2009-04-17
I think that people are cruel for saying that the red-eyed Netherland Dwarfs are ugly and weired. I believe that it is all a figure of their imaginations. The world has taught people to assume that anything having to do with "red eyes" is demonic, but it is not. God created red-eyed bunnies just as he created blue and black eyed bunnies. They all deserve love and a home. I must admit, it was other people's comments and views that made me second guest having a red-eyed bunny. Then I had to realize, my bunny, my money my home and if they don't like it, then they are not invited to my home. It took me a while to become comfortable and feel at ease with my White, red-eyed Netherlands Dwarf Josiah.

I have Himalayan netherland dwarf rabbits and I don't care what people say about their red-eyes I LOVE THEM !! Their eyes smile un- like other color eyes. I mean you can tell their mood with their red eyes. I know if my bunnies are happy or angry with me lol
