i got a polish dwarf too. ive been wanting one for 7 years now my parents have finnally given in! Shes almost a year old now and me and her have formed a tight bond. Her name is thumper, she is the hyperest thing you could ever ask for. I even knew that in the pet store, because I saw her hopping around i did not want her to go into the wrong hands, (like the 2 year old banging on the glass.Because my bunnie is sooo hyper we have to take her out about at least three times a day! And we also have to watch her like 24 7 cause shes soo smart she knows everythin.....like how to get under the couch when we block it....to open doors and close them...how to open a candy wrapper...how to get out of her leash...like seriosly!!Anyway each bunnies got its own personality and you gotta deal with it all differently...like my friends bunnie is just sooo lazy you open the cage door and gos and eats!Well you can also teach you bunie things like cause my bunnie liked to chew on things we had to teach her commands like to stop chewing on somthing which was NO NO NO THUMPER!!!and tocome... come thumper!! so take it from me if you want your bunnie to like it you GOTTA spend some time with it and let it get to know ya

Hi My name is Marie and I have a Holland Lop Bunny about 3 months old and my daughter is sick can the bunny get sick from us. Because we love to hold her and she kisses us and we kiss her. Also my bunny eats its own poop is that normal. I am taking the Bunny to the vet on Friday to get her claws cut and get checked and he owns a Holland Lop Bunny so I have alot of questions to ask of him. Thank You

Most diseases are species specific and don't cross from a human to a turtle or turtle to bird etc. There are a few exceptions such as rabies but rare. So I doubt your daughter can catch anything from your lop. Yes, it is normal for a bunny to eat its poop - provides some sort of additional nutrition. Your vet should be able to answer all your questions and alleviate concern. Just enjoy.

Hello my name is stacy and my dwarf I'm going to get is going to be so cute I hope you enjoy her when I put the picture up.

The gestation (pregnancy) period of most rabbits is around 31 days, but because Netherland Dwarf rabbits are so small they will likely give birth sooner. There is an excellent free e-mail mini course on breeding and raising rabbits at www.naturalrabbitfood.com It goes into detail (very easy to read) on how to reduce mortality rates and improve the health and productivity of all rabbits using recently published research.

My son got a netherland dwarf our fair in September. He has basically just started working with it. He likes it but I don't think he thought it would be this much work. We did have the rabbit outside in a hutch but the week it got sooo hot my dad let my son bring it in and put it in a cat carrier. so as of right now that is where it lives. I have my son get it out and try to interact with it in the kitchen because the rest of the house is carpet and we don't want rabbit turds in the carpet.

Yes, they can be work but if you can arrange an appropriate set up - quite easy to have. Try the idea of a somethng similar to a dog house (acutally a hutch he can go in and out of) in a fenced (or enclosed in harea with toys, litter, shelf etc. He can't live in a kennel.

They reach sexual maturity (AKA adulthood) at about 6 months (They are recongnized as adults but that does not mean that they are actually able to breed) it depends on their lineage.
