Tessa - 2012-04-29 I just bought two pet rats last night from Petsmart, Tre and Reese. When we first picked up Tre, at the pet store, he was sneezing and then he stopped. When we got Reese out to put him inside his box he did the same thing. Last night and still this morning they are sneezing, is this bad or is it normal? Thanks. Click For Replies (5)

Chelsea G. - 2012-04-05 I have a baby male Gerbil that my two older ones just had about a month ago. It was my females first litter and they all have been doing great hitting all there marks on time and everything. But now one of my baby males is having slight problems breathing and doesn't have use of his legs. Do you know what may be the cause of this and what can help and sadly if it's worth takeing to the vet. I'm not sure if this is treatable and would like to know if it is or not. He is very alert, know's where he is and everything just can't really use his back legs and this is the first time it has happen to him since he's been born. He was the 2nd to leave the nest and explore and also the 2nd to open his eyes and everything. He has been doing great up to this point. But like I said he is very alret as to what's going on around him. He can use his front two legs fine and everything, can't balance to stay up and doesn't have the use of his back legs and slight breathing problems. What could this be and is what's wrong with him treatable. Click For Replies (1)

Amanda Howard - 2010-01-09 My boyfriend and I have a pet squirrel named Autumn. She had two brothers, Timber & Twig, who unfortunately did not survive. My dad owns a tree service and found them in a tree he had cut down. I immediately took them in and started to syringe feed them gatorade as they were severely dehydrated. They lived in a large plastic bottomed rabbit cage with their heating pad for the longest time. The two males passed away rather quickly, but Autumn has grown to be a healthy and happy 2 1/2 month old. She's a great pet!! When the trio originally came to our home, I was the one up with them every hour for feedings and I literally became their mother. However, Autumn has decided she likes my boyfriend better than myself. She loves her playtime with him. She loves it best when he feeds her and she LOVES to sit around giving him kisses all day. We haven't yet been brave enough to let Autumn loose in our house, as we are afraid she will run rampid and get too frightened when we try to catch her - possibly hurting herself. I love to hear other stories from people who have pet squirrels, so I was very excited to have come across this page. I would like advice though, on Autumn's diet. Since she came off formula, shes had a diet only of walnuts (her favorite) and pecans. She has a damaged bottom incisor so she is unable to crack nuts herself, we do that for her. I know she should be eating other foods to improve her diet, but am unsure as to what foods are safe for her. Any advice you have would be appreciated!! Click For Replies (26)

Bunny Love - 2009-04-17 I think that people are cruel for saying that the red-eyed Netherland Dwarfs are ugly and weired. I believe that it is all a figure of their imaginations. The world has taught people to assume that anything having to do with "red eyes" is demonic, but it is not. God created red-eyed bunnies just as he created blue and black eyed bunnies. They all deserve love and a home. I must admit, it was other people's comments and views that made me second guest having a red-eyed bunny. Then I had to realize, my bunny, my money my home and if they don't like it, then they are not invited to my home. It took me a while to become comfortable and feel at ease with my White, red-eyed Netherlands Dwarf Josiah. Click For Replies (2)

Janice - 2012-09-25 My Doberman brought me home a blind baby squirrel. We have found a place for him in our home. A small problem is that he 'bites' us occassionaly, the bites are gentle, they do not break the skin. I guess that he thinks we could be food. When we pick him up, he doesn't struggle to get away from us. He seems very affectionate, moving to the sound of my voice and falling asleep in my hand. Does anyone have an idea on this? Also, will he stay tame, or become more agressive as he gets older? Click For Replies (1)

Dutchess - 2012-10-24 Hi, my name is Dutchess, I'm a 1 year old netherland dwarf bunny and I keep scratching and biting at my neck right under my chin and my mom is getting very worried about this behavior and my health. I went to the vet for this issue before and got some medicine (which I hated to take) and it cleared up after a few weeks and new fur grew back, but now I'm at it again. What would you suggest my parents do to help me with this situation? Click For Replies (1)

ellie - 2009-04-05 Why do adults think that all teens are dumb and don't care, it's really unfair. Teens can be realy responsible, it's only a small number that give the rest of us a bad name. I'm getting a sugar-glider soon so use your brain before you open your mouth! Click For Replies (3)
