I have had my RGS for about 2 1/2 months. His name is Jeremy. The first RGS that I had died the day after I got her home. The pet center gave me a new one a few weeks later. I have never seen him eat, and he has not shed at all since I've had him. He likes to be held but only if my hands are warm and tends not to like anyone else holding him. I have him housed in a 29 gallon high terrarium. There are plenty of branches and vines for him to climb. Most of the time he is basking or hidden inside his enclosure. Along with Jeremy, I have a long-tailed grass skink housed with him.

I own four morp corns. They make wonderful pets for the first time snake owner. They are one of the most docile snakes. You must keep in mind that these are animals and have bad days like we all do. They may strike if hungry or scared or if the animal isn't used to being handled. Snakes can strike when you first reach in to remove them from their home. It is best to use a glove or snake hook to remove them. Always, Always research animals before buying, so you know and understand the needs of the animal. Some animals need special lighting or food that costs more than other species. Good luck with your animal.

I got a albino cornsnake on my birthday. I just love him, I would die if I didn't have him. One day I took him to school. After that all my friends wanted one. We bought him a hut. He is in it all the time. We know when Slither is hungry, he sticks his head out of his hut. I don't know if he is a he/she. I call him a he. Slither is still just a baby. When I hold him he curls up in my hand. Slither is the best pet I ever had.

i have 2 water snakes and had them for 4 months now and they have been doing well. they like to hunt and eat live fish so i added live guppies (male and female) so i dont have to worry about feeding time. guppies grow and reproduce quite fast. i also feed them live worms.

I own 3 honduran milk snakes, 2 tangerines (male and female), and a female tri-color. I bought the hondurans because I like the bright colors and I wanted a snake that was going to get 5 to 7 ft. My females are 2 yrs old and 5 ft long and as round as a ping pong ball, my male is the same age and only 40 inches. Males are smaller than females. I have never been bit or musked. they are great eaters and mine love to be handled. All hondurans are very brightly colored when they are young but darken as they get older. I think mine are prettier now since they have darkened.

Snakes are beautiful animals that are fun to handle but you never really know how they feel. This is what makes snakes so mysterious, but cool. I actually have a ball python that is almost 2 years old and 5 and a half feet long. He starts getting really fat but slims down all the time. He also sheds at least 3 times a week or more. This is why snakes are so awesome.

I'm an 18 years old and I've had my Tangerine Honduran Milksnake for about a year and a half now. She originally belonged to my teacher who could no longer take care of her. Halloween (my snake) is quite friendly and curious and she loves getting her body rubbed. She has never tried to hurt me in any way shape or form, and she is also beautiful in color variation. She usually just sleeps in my hoodie and rests her head on my shoulder. She has grown a lot since I've taken her in and she is now about 4ft in length =)
