I have a 10ft female rtb who i got from a person along with a 3ft royal. Since giving them the proper care they have flourishd into tame beauties. I also have a peruvian rtb that was mis-treated. After 3 months she has flourished, but after her past is just now warming up to being handled.

My Teacher has a ball python. i think it's one of the tightest snakes out there. Her python is about three feet already and eats a lot. It loves kids. Steven Cox Dec.7, 2007

I am new to owning a snake. A friend told me to start with a snowcorn, so i did. It has only been 2 days now and i love this snake. It will not bite or constrict, atleast not yet. She is about a 1yr. old and almost a foot and a half if not more. She goes into my right arm sleeve, lays across my back, and only shows a little of her face out of the left sleeve. A cool snake!

I have a red tail boa and I have had it since it was born, and it is about 5" long. I have owned a lot of snakes, but this is the most docile and friendly of all snakes that I have owned.

I got my ball python for christmas of 06' and i've loved every minute of having him. He only sheds about once a month. I love the way he feels. He is the best pet I have ever had. I hold him everyday and so does the rest of the family. He is very docile and friendly. He will just sit around my neck and go in my hair. I can walk around with him on my neck like he is a necklace. He was the coolest christmas gift I got that year. He definitely tops clothes. Plus for christmas this year i'm getting an albino python.

A week ago, my 7 year old daughter caught our RGS in the woods. This snake has quickly become a part of our family. We were getting worried when she wouldnt eat the crickets that we placed in her habitat. We have read website after website on suggestions for feeding, holding, lighting, etc. None really give a single clear answer. All seem to have different suggestions. So maybe our experience will be helpful. Much to our suprise, "Katie" loves to be held! She loves to curl around my daughters hand and cuddle into her neck. She enjoys her branches to climb on, though doesnt seem to spend much time in her covered log, nor in her water. Though, we believe she goes there, as her bedding seems to be in the water. She sometimes sleeps near the heating pad we have under her aquarium. But prefers her branches. Finally, today, she ate two very tiny crickets, after spitting out a meal worm...litterally! But, again, to our suprise, she would only eat it if we hand fed it to her. How many should we give her? We dont really know, but we'll try again in a few days. We did place a couple in her home for her to try and catch. Hope this may be helpful to anyone as confused as we are. This little snake is so sweet, and so lovable, that we hope she continues to adjust well to life with us.

I got a hatchling corn snake for my birthday. Turns out he had mites, and they were fatel. Corn snakes make great pets and are easy to take care of. Make sure you ask to see the snake fed before you buy it. You want a healthy, snake that will eat. Also you want to check for mites and ticks as they can be fatel if you snake is small. If your snake is getting thinner, or not eating this can be a sign of mites or ticks. I am getting a new one tomorrow, it is a black corn.

Ive had my Snow Corn Snake for about 1 1/2 Years. He's the friendliest snake i've ever seen. He's never snapped at me or constricted or anything. He's timid and very fast, but he always slows once he gets used to me. We've had some funny moments. He went To the bathroom on me... TWICE...Lol Yea, it was messy... =) but I feed him 3 mice every week. I would recommend a Snow Corn Snake, just always feed them and just sit and talk to them every once in a while. i guess i dunno.. =) lol mine seems to like it. He's wonderful towards my friends too.
