Hello I have a red footed tortoise, I just wanted to know if I bought an exo terra water fall and pump, would it benefit him and the humidity of the vivarium, seeing as it would be a great feature?

I was fishing last night in the river and I caught 4 of these turtles from 6 to 9 inches! I still have them, was going to put them in my pond as pets but I wanted to see if they were rare and if so does anyone know who I can send them to? I also caught a baby alligator turtle, just checking what to do with them if they are on the endangered species list?

I have a female mexican red knee ( currently very active & having a good spin on her viv walls) i've had her a week this friday & have no bother with getting her out. Tonight was the first time. Yes she flicks a little at first but is fine once out. If you gently persuade your t with your finger from her side she will make her own way up & just have your hand ready. Don't be too gentle, you don't want her to think you're a cricket. Just push with your finger. Mine makes her own way out really which is handy xx

These animals are awesome. I would not want to be stuck in a room with one of these. I do wonder what type of venom this lizard produces.

Hi, I live in Oklahoma and find a lot of scorpions that come into the house. How would I go about trying to sell them to people who are interested in these type of scorpions?

I Have a Whites tree frog named Mr. Croaker and I keep seeing photos of bright green Whites Tree frogs. Why is he not like that?

White’s Tree Frogs, like all tree frogs, can change color depending on environmental conditions. Things like temperature, humidity, light intensity, health, and the color of their surroundings can affect what color a White’s tree frog is.

Also there is some different coloraton between these frogs. I've seen them from sort of red to green to grey to even sort of blue.
  • Shaylin Elizabeth Jones-Silva - 2012-04-12
Mr. Croaker is normal! I have a couple White s Tree Frogs and they have a large difference in their color spectrum. Some White TFs even have SPOTS and may develop more as they age. As long as there isn't drastic change in behavior, then he's perfectly normal. Not all humans look the same, and frogs are similar in that sense.

I would like to buy a pair of white tree frogs. I live in Ga and for some reason frogs are not a big seller; if they have frogs there American green tree frogs or red eyed tree frogs or fired bellied toads. So if you have any knowledge of any for sale please email. Thanks Vickie

Tree frogs aren't that common by me, either! But I got mine at petco for about 15 bucks. If you have a petco by you, they probably have them, but be sure to call petco before you go over there to get the frog.

My pink toe hadn't eaten in about two weeks and now he's having problems gripping the glass. He can't climb the side of his terrarium, when he tries he just slides down or falls off. If anyone has any ideas please help me by responding.

My 1 1/2 year old mexican red knee female is currently experiencing the same problem and I have no idea why.
  • Jennifer - 2014-03-08
Our pink toe has recently started sliding down the glass as well. He has no traction and falls a lot. He's been spending time down on the substrate, and I'm wondering if his toes are dirty. I haven't seen him grooming for awhile and he used to do it quite often. He is an adult male, so I don't know how much longer he will live. I hope the slippery feet isn't a sign of old age.
  • sean - 2014-03-13
Now my pink toe has cocooned himself at the bottom of the cage, I'm hoping this is just a stage before the molt. Please help if you know something I don't.
  • Nora - 2014-04-23
It sounds like you are misting/spraying the walls of the vivarium. Pinktoes grip is amazing and if yours has moulted; the moult has grip as well. My advice would be to spray cooled boiled water onto the susbstrate (two quick sprays should do) and any plastic plants you may have in there.

Tarantulas will often act this way before moulting.

My soft shell turtle (squrtel) is a female, I found it in garden lakes rome, ga. Although small, she has a big appetite. I caught 1 before. I kept the water cold and clean and he was well fed and 5 days later he was in turtle heaven. Now we have a club called club wild, it is only 1 dollar to join if you want to learn more about animals. Thanks for listening.
