JD here I have had my RTB for about 2 years now she is growing at about 2 inches a month and is already 5 feet long she is the nicest snake I have owned. I also have a albino burmesse python he is 9 feet and 30 lbs kind of mean but still love him. I would recommend a RTB to anyone looking for a great snake. Kelly is very tame I love taking her to parties she likes the attention as long as the room is quiet. Anyways thanks for letting me post the comment. JD

columbian red tails are lovely boas, usually docile and very easy to care for, but the two things i want to add on this care guide There is no mention of thermostats, and also that they to be totally happy they should have a medium to high humidity level.

i had a rgs for about 2 months i named it sully i love that snake only ate twice though out of the 2 months..and then died. i never knew exactly when i was supposed to feed it cause the person i got it from never told me and i didn't have a computer at the time to look it up. so i put a cricket in there every other day thinking it would just eat it whenever it was hungry. but i guess it was never hungry cause the crickets ended up dying in there, had to clean them out. i put water and everything, Sully never touched it and i didn't know what to do. but now i found your website..and read how i was supposed to feed it...thank you for the information..

I have found that for a single scorpion or pregnant or hatched female, a plastic ice cream bucket works fine until the mothers young start to wander. then a ten gallon tank is nessasary to keep the young alive.

I have three Leopard Tortoises(babcoki). One is three years old. I purchased her as a hatchling in 2003. She weighs about seven She is friendly and very beautiful. She will eat out of my hand. The other two are yearlings out of two different clutches. They were handled from a very young age and also are friendly. The bigger one has a four by six wooden pen I built for her and the other two stay in a 35 gallon aquarium for now. I started with Golden Greek tortoises who are also very beautiful but very hard to keep because they get upper respiratory infections very easy. I love my tortoises very much and hope to breed them in about five years.

I have recently purchased a rose haired tarantula and I am considering getting a pink toed next. Exotic animals are far more interesting than the typical domesticated pet. Thus far, my research has confirmed my commitment to make the pink toed my next purchase. The idea of a vertical terrarium sounds facinating. I would like to put two or three in one terrarium. I can't wait. Thanks for the great info.

I have male green anole named Jack, i needed help naming him so i asked my friend and when she said "Jack" i knew it was perfect. Jack is very... odd when it comes to mating and since he lives out side but stays in my yard he has a lot of freedom about mating. i see him mating with a female every three days during mating season! I've tried keeping his females in a 3 gallon tank (normally only two at a time) to see if they'll lay eggs in the habitat, the only problem... I DON'T KNOW WHAT GREEN ANOLE EGGS LOOK LIKE! I think one lizard layed one egg one time. it was yellow, it was an oval shape, and it had some white on it to. But Jack is pretty cool!
