My Malaysian Forest Scorpion is 8 1/2 inches in length and is VERY AGGRESSIVE! if you move her cave while she is beside it, she pinches it and her tail sometimes strikes it. Same goes with anything that moves near her! Very cool pet and very hardy. Have had her for 4 years, and she has gone through 3 molts in my possesion.

All the comments about the Rose Hair is CORRECT. I have a 5 inch "Pushover" female. When I handled her she gets in the defensive posture but then draw her legs inward to signal "Please don't hurt me". I have seen one that looked like a brown version of the Colbalt Blue. It actually charged at me ready to bite. With any and all pets you must learn their behavior. Mine almost bit me because she was in the premolt stage and I did not realize that until a week later when she was on her back pulling herself out of her old skin.

My Pink-toe is 4 inch babydoll. She is very cool. Unfortunately living in the heat and humidity in Austin, Texas means the fan and/or the air conditioner needs to be on. That means sometimes the air blows on her and she becomes skittish and the do-do shooter. This is why my 6 year old son dislikes her. But after a few minutes she is calm and lovable again.

I have a 4 inch female and she is adorable. I have not handle her the last 3 weeks because she is guarding her eggsac. Yes she will fend me off because that is her natural instinct as a mother: TO PROTECT HER SPIDERLINGS! If you get one do get it from the pet store because from the wild you don't know what you will get.

There can't be enough said about them. They are the best beginner scorpions. I have owned 2 and the one I currently have is 4 inch "lazy bum". She is very calm but she will not eat unless I put the crickets up to her mouth. She will try to make an attempt to pinch me every now and then, but it is more of a "love" pinch than a defensive one!

If you REALLY want a challege get a RED CLAW SCORPION. It is from the same GENUS family but with a little attitude. I have owned 2 and the reputation on some care pages give them a "bad" deposition. I am not stupid now, all scorpions have the ability to sting you. I have owned a female who was "mean" the first day I got her and after handling her she was more calm and mellow than my emperor scorpion I had at the time. The male I own now is a little more defensive but he calms downs quickly and believe it or not he likes to have his back rubbed like my flat rock scorpion. He is a pincher (My Aunt Ann, who died on my 38th birthday last year may she rest in peace, pinched me a lot harder). He has not made the slighest attempt to sting me. If you have an opportunity to grab one DON'T let it passed you by DOGGONE IT!

The Flat Rock Scorpion is just as adorable as the Emperor Scorpion. I have owned 2 and the one I currently own is a 5 inch female excluding the tail. She is gentle and the only scorpion my 6 year old son will hold for now. She LOVES to be held and her back rubbed! I would recommend this over the emperor scorpion only because it is a lot harder to get SOMETIMES!

I'm new having a snowcorn, she's just a baby thouugh, fed once a fortnight but a fair sized rat. She is grumpy and likes to hide for 3 or 4 days after she's eaten, then she comes out of hiding and likes to play and be handled and give kisses. Very docile and contented snakes.

i am 14 and i have a red tail boa, she is 8ft long and she is really good tempered. She iz probably 40 to 50 pounds, but she is super good around kids and i think im gonna breed her sometime. Plus i have a burmese python and they grew up together, but they go in separate cages.

I have the pleasure of having a Columbian. I named him Hercules. He truly is a master predator. He is a joy and I hope to have him around many more years. He is 15 and roughly 10 ft long. He eats full size rabbits. Since he eats such a large meal, I only feed him once a month. He has a room in our house all to himself and I allow him to run free until feed day then I place him in a converted entertainment center for the feed and digestion process.

I have 2 corn snakes, a male and female. They are both wild but very healthy and docile. I do better with wild snakes. I am hoping to breed them but I am worried that it is too late in the year.
