I have owned 2 of these. The one I have currently is a 2 inch female (not including the tail). She has pinched me once. It was a hard pinch. I have held her numerous times and she has not yet made an effort to sting me. She is skittish at first but soon settles down.
If you have an chance to get one GET IT. In my own personal opinion if you want something more "unpredictable" than an emperor scorpion this is it. I am not going to lie to you, they can and will sting if mishandled. But from what I heard from a friend of mine, it is more discomfort that actual pain!

To anyone that reads this. I am 15 and have had a few scorpions. They can be aggressive and they can be docile. But the main thing i noticed is that they are like snow flakes. You never get two alinke. I have a Malaysian forest scorpion and it is the most friendless thing in the world. Its all about how its brought up from a baby.

The parents did know. We just dediecd it was safer than other things you could have tried like going to look for lions or swimming in the river with hippos.

Hello! I have a leopard gecko since 1 month and It's eating well, I give him crickets and worms with vitamins, but this last days I see him turning kind of white, It's not color brightening anymore, kind of mate and I'm very concerned because I don't know much about disorders of these reptiles, can anyone help me find out what is going on please?

This is normal, it's just the way geckos look before they shed their skin which they do regularly as they grow, his colour should be back to normal after he has shed. Just make sure you provide him with a humid hide to make shedding easier.

Most likely he is ready to shed and when the old skin is gone he will be very bright again. I have two blizzard geckos and they are the sweetest little guys ever.They get really pale when they shed but not for long.Good luck

It takes several 3 - 4 for many scorpions to reach sexual maturity. The Flat Rock male looks thinner than the female because his tail is so long and so his body looks leaner. The female carries the babies inside for up to 18 months and then the babies are born live. So she could be fatter because she is, fatter because she looks that way or fatter because she is pregnant. She would have about 25 - 30 babies. So lots of luck.

They will normally drink water drops off of plants. So it is a must that you spray the plants with water. They will very rarely drink from a bowl.

Hi Chicco. I am not sure who you are adressing in your comment but I looked up some information on both the Asian Forest and the Emporer for your information and for the person you are addresssing. In one source it is clearly stated that the "Asian Forest Scorpions are good for the beginner that wants to try something more aggressive than an Emperor Scorpion". In a second article I found that the "forest scorpion is more aggressive than the emperor scorpion. They can be kept in groups, but it is not recommended due to their aggressive nature. They will assume a defensive posture more easily and are more likely to protect themselves with their pincers". Then in Animal World it states that the "Malaysian Forest Scorpions or Asian Forest Scorpion is hardy, quiet, and easy to care for. It is also impressive to look at. But unlike the Emperor Scorpion it is not handleable. It is quite defensive and will readily sting when it feels cornered or in danger". The Asian Scorpion according to 3 reliable sources (including Animal World) back your statement in the Forest Scorpion being more defensive than the Emporer. Does this help? Hi I don't know anything about scorpions, this is the most info I've ever read on the rock scorpion. But, I have a problem. I do not want them as pets, but strangely they picked me? We have found two of them (in the last two months) in our home, even another specie as well, definitely poisonous, looking at the small claws and the fat tail - this one was yellow. All I want to know is - why do they come inside? What should I do to prevent this? I have small grandchildren, and I do not want them to be stung. Can anyone help me with any ideas? Pretty please?

I would be concerned about scopions getting into the home. I would call an exterminator but I would try and find out how they are getting into the house. Is there a hole for example around a plumbing fixture. Check around the house for any entrances that they can be using and plug them up with that foam that hardens. They are not little spiders so hard to just sneak in so I would think an opening into the home.

I was just going to add that sometimes, or when I lived in Texas anyway, they would come in from the outside when it was damp out. Humid day, rainy, etc. There are ways to help control it from happening. Give an exterminator a call and they should be able to give you some tips so that they might not have to come out. Good luck! Oh, and use the internet to your advantage...there is a wealth of info. I will see if I can find anything else out for you.

Sounds like you are doing all the right things. It is best not to handle the snake right after shedding. It is much like someone touching you after a sunburn. Give the snake a few days before handling.

So how often will my snake shed or does that depend on how often I feed him and all so how often do you think I need to feed him? I have been feeding him ever 4 to 5 days is that to much or just enough? This is the first time I owned a snake am doing good so far just want to know from some one that really knows about snakes
