Animal Stories - Emperor Angelfish

Animal-World Information about: Emperor Angelfish

The handsome Emperor Angelfish is the best known of all the saltwater angelfish!  Looking at the attached video of a juvenile in a 180 gallon, then the same fish 3 years later as an adult in 400 gallon tank shows how they reward their owners with great coloring in a properly sized tank!

They say you can't have more than one angel at a time. Well, I do. You must punish the aggressor by separation out side the tank for 15 min., then rearange teritories. The emperor is the best angel in my opinion. primo rosal 01-27-08

Our Emperor Angelfish is about 2 yrs old, and only shows a bit of possible color changing. He/She is not skiddish at all, and has become the "Emperor" Of the tank (Sorry, couldn't resist). As always make sure that the specimen that you purchase comes from a distributor that is reputable.

This fish is expensive, but it's so cool. You should get one.
It's worth every dollar.

My Emperor Angelfish was bought as a juvenile. It quickly acclimatised to eat all food including good quality marine flake. I kept it for four years but it never changed from its juvenile to adult colours.

Some Emperor's will not change in an aquarium environment, has nothing to do with where you purchased your fish, it's just the nature of this species.

THE EMPERER ANGEL WAS MY BEST CHOICE IN FISH. VERY EASY TO TAKE CARE OF AND VERY ACTIVE FISH. WAS HIDING FROM OTHER TANK MATES WHEN SHE FIRST ARRIVED BUT AFTER 2-3 DAYS SHE WAS OUT IN FRONT BEING THE CENTER OF ATTENTION. TRULY A GREAT FISH. A LITTLE COSTLY BUT WORTH EVERY DOLLAR. SHE EATS FLAKE FOOD, PELLETS, ALGEA, AND FROZEN BRINE. A MUST OWN FOR ALL SALTWATER FISH LOVERS.

My most beautiful fish! Very expensive, but well worth the money if you can get a specimen that is eating. A very friendly fish.
