I personally have a Queen (Juvenile), and its beautiful coloration makes it my favorite fish.

The Queen angelfish is certainly a beauty. It was one of the first salt water fish available because they could be collected in the keys. I caught one for myself in about 1972 and it lived 6 years in a 55gal tank that had no living rock or coral. It did well from 1.5" to 10" on a diet of frozen brine shrimp or protozoro, freeze dried tubifex worms and flake food. This fish and several others that I kept for a long time eventually became blind, quit eating and died. From this experience I drew a hypothesis that we tend to have too much light over our aquariums so we need to provide lots of dark alcoves for the fish. They will come out to eat! That's just my idea. Good luck.

Thanks for adding your experience. The lighting theory is interesting, I don't think I've ever run across it before. Cheers!

I have a new bi color angel. Although he does stop now and then to pick at live rock, he continually swims back and forth across the tank. He almost seems nervous? Is this normal?

Video on U-Tube of angelfish swimming angelfish and looks pretty normal for it to be going back and forth in the tank.

I'm getting one these fish for my fish all the fish tanks I have are 60 gallons, 55 gallons, 40 gallons, 17 gallons, 10 gallons, and a 1/2 gallon fish bowl for my crown tailed betta. Do I have a lot of fish tanks since I'm getting more for different fish tank habitats. The 60 gallons is a reef aquarium tank.

Very Cool! Make sure you have plenty of different foods and get him eating. They can be finicky, but are very interesting fish. Good luck!

This is a BEAUTIFUL angel. It is not at all aggressive towards its tank mates, but can be tricky to feed. I am keeping 1 in a 100 litre tank for about 3 months now... still it has not touched any food. It feeds on the slime algae and the hair algae in my tank, also it eats my macro algae. It never disturbs my fire fish, clowns etc. But it should be kept in mind while keeping... Live rocks with lots of algae is a must and so is ample hangups, caves, and shady portions.
