my step father has a marine tank and did have black and white damsel but he had to get rid of it because of how nasty it is. I have a tropical freshwater tank and i have slowly placed him in there. He has become immune to the freshwater, i have heard they can be immune to freshwater so i thought i would try it and he is settling in very well.

My young Domino has a crush on my female blue devil. He's not attacking or even chasing her; he's rubbing up against her and I think he's even trying to steal a kiss.

great reef tank fish adds color and plenty of movement to my tank. I traded a spiny box fish for 8 at the local fish store, much better for the reef.

I love this fish! I have a Sergeant Major damsel, a yellow tail damsel a 3 stripe damsel and a coral angel. The sergeant Major is special. Yes he eats like a pig and will never refuse food. He will eat anything you give him but he is also very intellegent will bond with the owner. I come home and he is at the glass begging for food. After i feed him he will swim around then return to get eye contact with me. He will often stare at me with his big eyes. (so cute). He has figured out how to make the flake food fall down from the top of the water by swimming rapidly up and hitting the food with his tail. Then he swims back and forth grabbing all the food as it falls. He also taught my other fish to eat from the top. Very adorable... love him/her to death! Easy maintence, very inexpensive, very intelligent and loveable!

I have had mine for a year now and mine are agressive towards me when my hands in the tank. I have 2 of them, I also have in my tank a Maroon Clown, Blue Devil, Neon Gobie(just lost the other 1), a regular shrimp goby, and a reef lobster. It seems to leave them all alone. Just once in awhile they'll chase the devil, but over all they are only agressive when my hand is in the tank. If i did'nt have the 2 of them for awhile, they'ld be gone, but im hoping somehow they might breed.

I have found out from my local fish mart that the best thing to do is buy them in odds! make sure because they are very agressive if bought separately. I think the perfect number is three because they are always moving around. And to my suprise i found out that once you buy a group there is always a leader, the one that gets bigger and gives the whole group character. A great beginner fish.

This is a very good fish for beginners! I have 2 of these yellow-tailed damsels. they swim all around the aquarium and they love to hide in the caves of the live rock.

I have found this fish to be a great schooling fish. It is a joy to see them swim together in one big mass.

A very beautiful damsel and eats like a pig but be warned, this little fish is truely the son of Satan! My damsel will have no trouble going up to my eel and lionfish and slapping them with his tail. I'm just waiting on the day when my lionfish will eat it. Damsels just need a tank for their own.
