I bought my first black and white damsel three weeks ago. When frightened his white stripes turn black and he refuses to show any signs of life. He tends to hide in the closest plant and goes into shock when he senses any sudden movement or drastic light change. He definitely didn

Put one of your arrows on the Hawaiian islands! I just saw the most perfect example of a Domino Damsel in a tide pool near the Wiakaloa area on the Big Island.

We were advised that domino damsels should be purchased in three. No problem with ours, but I noticed recently that they are not a black as they were. However, unfortunately my yellow tang died after five days, later found out that it need seaweed as part of its diet. Was not advised this when first purchased, unfortunately it takes a while to find someone who is able to give the right advice when purchasing fish. However we have two tanks and we absolutely love them, I suppose you live and learn. However just purchased a fox fish, very unusual and quite a character.....

Ha, thats funny! I have a porcupine puffer and cloudy damsel as well, and he doesn't stop terrorising all of them, including my maroon clown which he beat up pretty bad once! Sometimes I wish my puffer would take him out!

I have 2 clownfish and they're very cool. I also have a lot of other saltwater fish. My cat stickes her paw down in the aquarium because she thinks they are pretty, but she can never catch them.

Hi I'm new to this but am looking for a bit of help and support. I have two clowns, one lyretail anthias, and plenty of cleaners. Just added two little yellow tail's, and have seen most of the traits others have mentioned so far. Only two thing I'd appreciate help with. Hope it's pecking order, but it's the lyretail anthias that's bullying the yellow tails? 2nd: are these known to get White spot, out of my depth with this, one just has little White speck near his rear fin? Any help?

I have had my Damsel for about a week now and he is about 4 inches long. He is the nicest fish I've ever had but he eats all the coral. My zenias and anthelias are gone and my kenya trees are all gone now. I was told he was reef safe but as I found out he wasn't. I don't recommend this fish for a reef tank especially one with a lot of corals. I'm stuck with him as he is too fast to catch and I can't move the rock around; it would destroy my tank.

I have had saltwater fish for only 3 months now and my two fish are a yellowtail damsel and an ocellaris clownfish. My clownfish was mean and picked on the damsel, but now my damsel has gotten agressive and fights with my clown. A very active fish and they both like to pick at the live rock. They are a very pretty fish.

When I first started my saltwater tank I bought one of these and 4 of the yellow tails. They all died but the 4 stripe. I now have a clownfish and a fire shrimp and they all get along great. My pet store didn't mention the 4 stripe to be aggressive but I have seen on here where people have mentioned it. He has been a great little fish.
