Pretty colors. More prone to stress but hardy. Not very aggressive. Very shy and will hide a lot so get more than one. Leaves every thing else alone pretty much. Mine are still small, but I can tell they are not very aggressive as showing very passive behavier.

I found they have lots of personality!!! They are very bold and will taunt the larger fish with an aggressive posture to say thats my rock! More posture than bite. Yes they are selfish but in a very cute way. Medium aggressive compared to other damsels and mine are doing great in community tanks. They will tend to hang in the back of the tank or at the bottom. They really have cute bold personalities especially when they are small. When very small they are all attitude and no bite until they grow a bit. Mine are still under 3 inches so I don't know yet if they will become mean.

Thier colors are cool. Spend time choosing the one you like because some have very interesting changing colors with lighting and angles. This is the thing I love about these. They are passive for sure. So passive they tend to be boring except for their colors. They are not nearly as hearty as other damsels and would wait for your tank to fully cycle before throwing them in. Otherwise they are easy to take care of with the exception of being more fragile as far as damsels go. They work with all fish as long as they don't become food for a more aggressive fish.

Their cool. They are meaner than other damsels. They swim alot and work in community tanks. They do fine with damsels of the same size and larger. They really stay away from larger damsels to stay out of trouble. So if you need to add a tough fish that is smaller than others this might work. Very hardy fish that keeps moving all around the aquarium.

I only have 1 of these. Mine is 3.5 inches long. The pet shop said he was really aggressive. He is the sweetest fish! He will let me hand feed him. Gets along with every fish in the tank of all sizes. This is probably "very" rare for a damsel. I love him. Very Hardy!!! I have to say mine is a little fat from hand feeding. He pushes the little damsels around in the tank if they get too close but never bites any fish. He rarely hides and swims along the glass in the front of the tank waiting for me to feed him. I don't know if this is normal for this breed.

I just bought 3 of these last week. Found that they work well with other damsels but not with their own kind so well. I had to seperate all 3 because they locked mouths fighting but ignored other breeds so far. Too soon to tell. Not as hardy as most damsels. But definitely very pretty. I would recomend just one per 25 gallons.

I just got my yellow-Tailed damsel and he seems to hid under the live rock and he usually says close to the bottom when he emerges from underneath the live rock.

I added 4 blue devils to me tank to help start cycling, and I decided to keep them as they are very fun to watch. Now they are huge, and very territorial, and aggressive towards SOME tank mates- BEWARE !

My Dominos are becoming very pugnacious to any fish in the tank of lesser size than they are. If it continues I will have to consider removing them.
