So if you are unnaturally tall for your age (11) then you can still have one as a pet? Or if not, would a mustang be better for me? Thanks, please answer my question. xxxxx :)

Yes a mustang would be better but I would recommend a more calm horse

Hehe i a Conemara Cross Mare, she is a realy fast learner, you show her something once and she gets it or is no;t afraid of it, she can be abit strong but other than that she's lovely.

Some people say the rule of thumb maximum weight for ponies in general is 20% of the horses weight, others say 30%. The Connemara Pony is one of the more sturdy breeds, and known to be able to carry much more weight than most other pony breeds. But it is still a small horse. I would suggest looking for a light horse breed that excels in those two disciplines, then you won't have to worry.

I have a Connemara mare, she is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I would recommend a Connemara for a novice, as they are very good riding ponies. Mine (Meg), is a very quick learn and has a good balance, she learns very quickly and i'd rather have her than a thoroughbred:)

Connemara Ponies= Lodes of happiness, sweet temperaments, good lookers, GREAT kids ponies and a willing partner. If you are looking for a horse for your kid, or yourself, get a Connemara Pony But: the rider of the pony should be not to large and not to 'extreme' on the pony. Never-the-less Connemara ponies are AMAZING!
