I have a 5.5 yr old Chion. He is a rescue dog. I am not sure about his previous home life. He is the sweetest little guy I have ever seen. He loves to snuggle. He hardly ever barks. When he does he always looks at me like "did you hear that?" He gets along with my cat sometimes and other times he would rather rip her head off. It actually kind of funny to watch. They will be snuggled up together, then he will realize she is there and growl and snap at her. I give Bianca lots of credit for trying to be friends with him LOL! He is ok with the grandkids, but most of the time he would rather avoid kids. I feel really blessed to have found him.

I have a 6 month old Chion that I bought from a reputable breeder. I love her so much... She is very active, intelligent and sleeps all night! She does not bark excessively, but does not like to be left behind. She follows me everywhere I go... She weighs 7lbs...
    Wonderful company, she is! x

I have a seven week old chion bitch. She is absolutely adorable, fitted straight in with my other two dogs. She is toilet trained to her mats already and comes when called. She does feel the cold but a little jumper does the trick. She was picked from birth from a litter of five my friends papillion had, all completely different markings. She's a beautiful little dog, full of confidence and very loving. I would recommend this breed to anyone.

I have had "Hooch" for 3 years as I inherited him from an older family member who could not take proper care of him. He was so upset about the move he would not eat so I made him Meatloaf! It took a while for us to warm up to one another but he started sleeping with me under the covers and that was it! Now....... we are attached at the hip! He is so smart and a one woman dog! He only gets "barky" when someone comes to the door or approaches us on a walk. He is SOOOOOO affectionate & always by my side! I love him dearly and can't imagine life without my little red man with the floppy ears! ;-)

I have a chion but even though i have read that they are very sociable. She growls at my husband everytime he tries to touch her. One day she bit him on the lip when he was just trying to kiss her by her nose. But when i do it she doesn't bite or growl, shes use to me im aroudn more often but when it omes to my husband she is very protective but on the other hand she also protects him when he is around people. Intersting. How do I get my chion to be comfortable with my husband.

WOW difficult one. Sounds like she is most protective of you and then protective of the family. Have your hubby give the chion little treats with commands. Sit, Stay, Pet, Hug etc -- I like to use turkey hotdogs sliced and then quartered and just in a bag in my pocket. Your hubby without realizing it may have done something that scared the pup - so he maybe just has to get the pup used to him and you might as welll use it as training time also,.

Hi, I also have a female chion. She growls and bites anyone who tries to move her if she is resting, she snaps at children who try to stroke her. She is remorseful afterwards and knows she has done something wrong. She is very loveable and playful but when she doesn't want to be bothered, she makes it known. When she does attack, she is very quick and quite aggressive. She is very protective of me but she will even snarl at me if she doesn't want touching.

I had a chion named Betsy for about two, three years. Had a nasty break up and she went with the ex. She was a very social dog that loved everybody. Very rarely did she ever growl at somebody or snip at them. She played well with my daughter, even when Emma would pull her tail or play too rough. She was long haired everywhere. Adorable and loving. She was easy to train and easy to spoil. She weighed maybe eight pounds max. Kinda hard to take care of during the summer but didnt matter to me .

What sort of training did you use? Crate, apartment style, litterbox.?

We have many families with cats and our doodles get along very well with them. As stated above, early socialization is the key.

My Chorky looks just like a yorkie with short wild hair.
She's adorable about 3lbs.

I bought a Chug about 4 weeks ago and she is absoloutley adorable. She is so friendly with everyone and everyone stops me, asks what she is and want to take her home. She is very clean and has had only a couple of "accidents", which was when we first got her. But even then she always used to go on puppy pads virtually all of the time but, now lets us know when she needs to go out so seems to be virtually house trained already (at 12 weeks).
All in all I think she is a very intelligent dog and seems to know what is acceptable and what is not in relation to biting and chewing. She has learned that chewing her toys is ok but she must not chew and bite people. She loves company and her walks and has such a great little personality.
I can highly recommend this hybrid breed as they seem to have the best of both dogs but without the individual breed problems.
A small full of charcter dog and I am so pleased I bought her.

My husband and I just adopted our 7 week old Chug last night. We've named him Emrys. He's the smallest dog I've ever had, but my husband has had a pug before. Little Emrys is joining our family of another dog, a Chow-Pei, and a Tortie cat.
