I have 2 adult male cats - brothers about 2 1/2 years old. When they were kittens, they got along, but now they have stare-down contests which often lead to fighting. I'd think they were playing, but fur literally flies and one or both end up scratched. I'm afraid they will hurt each other badly. Is there any way to bring peace back to the household. We try to keep them apart space is limited.

I have a 4 year old Silver shaded persian male cat and a 9 mth. old chocolate point Himalayan female, they are both fixed. My Persian is beautiful but very slim and I have tried everything to add weight to his slim build. If there are any suggestions, I am open to any. He is a little over 7 pounds. My Himalayan is big, at least 9 or 10 pounds already, and very active, she is very smart and affectionate, loves to play, but my persian doesn't like her. What am I to do, I want them to be company for each other and I love them both. They are a lot of work as they require daily brushing, which I don't mind doing. Just want my Persian to get a little heavier. Cats in Canada.

Not terribly unusual but they aren't real cooperative with hearing tests.  OK - when he is napping just sneak on over and clap your hands.  Come up behind him and clap.  Throw car keys against the wall when he is close by.  You want to see if he follows the sound.

Hi, my name is Azin from Iran. I know English just a bit, but I want to say that we don't see Persian cats here especially in streets, when I saw pic of Persian cats in internet I surprised because they are rare in here, of course I saw Persian cat but once in a rich families and that time I don't know he is a Persian cat. He was white, corpulent and shaggy but he has a bad temper especially with other cats also when he was emasculated. I love Bengal and Burmese cats and I think you will surprise when I say that many of them are here, of course other breeding cats particularly in streets, they are very beautiful and clever but they are chicken – hearted, they are afraid of peoples and sound of cars. Many of them are vagrant and streetwalker, but they are very beautiful, don't blame us that we leave them in streets because I think it's a good reason to breed various types.
I've got a cat that is between orange and yellow with white belly she has got three kitties. I don't know who is their father, many male cats come here, only the boy is like his mother he's my favorite I know he like me mutually, one of the daughters is white with black and brown spot she doesn't like to communicate with me, and other is dark brown with black and bright brown spot and one of her eyes has a black spot like a pirate, she's kind and quiet, but I am worry about her because she is thin and weak. Now their eyes are amber.
Bye

I have also come across persian cats who are ill-tempered and sort of nasty with people. I dont know how many people have experienced this.

My cat Mac looks a lot like the cat in the picture. Hes not so fat and his eyes are sweet and innocent though. Hes not really our cat. His old owners moved and left him. Everyone who plays with him never think he was never stray because he's so sweet! We've been feeding him ever since. He also has two kittens. We think the mom died because Mac brought the 3 skinny kittens to us! After feeding them for a few months Mellow stopped coming. Mator and Marly are always sitting at the door waiting for their food though.
We also have 3 other cats; Maisy, Moe Joe, and Milly. They're all females. Moe Joe is all black and everyone calls her evil. Maisy, the sweetest of the three, is always meowing at you to pet her. Milly is the adventurous one. She's always bringing live chipmunks into the house!
