We never had pet cats before until my daughter brought home a kitten. Since I never took care of a cat before, I resisted in having one in the house. But, it didn't take long for me to come around and see what the fuzz is all about; this kitten was so friendly, affectionate and playful! We watched him grew to a full size Coon, and weight almost 20 pounds. He was solid and can feel the strength of this gentle giant.

He loves hanging-out and be in the middle of our activities as a family. He sits there quietly, majestically, watching everybody with his mane shining. He loves smelling everyone's hair especially after shower. His favorite game is fetching a crumpled candy wrapper or a tin foil rolled like a little shiny ball and then he would kick it with his paws and chase it.

One morning when he was about 4 years old, he came to our bedroom door and started calling us with this tiny voice and as I opened the door, he ran towards the kitchen still meowing as if to say "pay attention to me" and as I got closer towards him; I noticed that he was sitting on the floor with something in front of him. As I looked closer, it was a mouse. It was Chino's gift to us. He was very proud that day and we were too!

Chino grew as an indoor cat, but, we let him out in the backyard when we're out there. He lived to the age of 9 years old and was still very active until his last few days.

Maine Coon Cat are great cats. He did act like a dog in terms of loyalty and they are so playful, even at 9 years old he was still acting like a kitten.

We miss our friend!

Hi, my name is Azin from Iran. I know English just a bit, but I want to say that we don't see Persian cats here especially in streets, when I saw pic of Persian cats in internet I surprised because they are rare in here, of course I saw Persian cat but once in a rich families and that time I don't know he is a Persian cat. He was white, corpulent and shaggy but he has a bad temper especially with other cats also when he was emasculated. I love Bengal and Burmese cats and I think you will surprise when I say that many of them are here, of course other breeding cats particularly in streets, they are very beautiful and clever but they are chicken – hearted, they are afraid of peoples and sound of cars. Many of them are vagrant and streetwalker, but they are very beautiful, don't blame us that we leave them in streets because I think it's a good reason to breed various types.
I've got a cat that is between orange and yellow with white belly she has got three kitties. I don't know who is their father, many male cats come here, only the boy is like his mother he's my favorite I know he like me mutually, one of the daughters is white with black and brown spot she doesn't like to communicate with me, and other is dark brown with black and bright brown spot and one of her eyes has a black spot like a pirate, she's kind and quiet, but I am worry about her because she is thin and weak. Now their eyes are amber.
Bye

I adopted my black turkish angora when he was 5 years old from a shelter. He has the most beautiful green eyes and he is the most loveable cat anyone could ask for. He is turning 10 and still very playful and very devoted. I could be in a different part of the house and when I call his name he will come running to me everytime. There was one point when I would get home from work and he would run up to me with one of my slippers in his mouth! It was so adorable. Even though I didnt bond with him as a kitten he sure bonded with me when I first got him. The best cat I ever got.

They have quite the unique personality. Friend of mine has one and it is constantly providing entertainment and he has her trained very well.

Hello,

We can become very bonded with a pet. I adopted a Turkish Angoran cat about 8 years ago. His estimated age was 10 years old. He is such an incredible cat, and very sensitive to the energy around him (like I am.) He is getting very skinny and I am accepting the possibility that it might be time for him to go soon, so I spend as much time as possible giving him attention and trying to help him gain weight. I am not blessed with much time to do this, but he gets enough. Before this, I lost the pride of other 4 cats (sky, shadow, crazy eyes, smokey) for which I have no idea what happened to them. This one is saying indoors. They all had a good life, however short, or perhaps they are still somewhere.

I have the most handsome angora cat with copper-golden eyes. He's 3/4 angora and 1/4 Persian, so how much would he had cost if he were one year old?

Anything will cost what someone is willing to pay for it. To me, my kitten is worth a million dollars but to someone else probably not. Most people will only pay money for a kitten if the kitten with a pedigree that can be shown meeting show standards. Sorry but just love him.

I have 6 females, I am crushed that I have to give them away. They were born on easter day last yr. They have their shots and have been altered, they are all beautiful ,sooo smart ,love classical piano ( I play daily for them, they all gather at the piano, and finally fall asleep). I talk a lot to them and they are very very responsive and vocal. They have been raised on my farm and do not know city life, cars, dogs etc. In fact they know on one but me and their 10 litter mates. It is my hope that they may be adopted with at least one of their litter mates, other wise I am so afraid they would be at a huge loss if taken alone.
they are- lady gaga, tipper gore, cory booker, carmen carmella, corrina corrina and vanderson cooper I will send pictures if you are interested, my email is unreliable (dial up out here in the boonys) so call me on land line 405 966 2226,i love them so .

So very sorry to hear of the death of your beloved cat.

Anonymous and Renata: So sorry you lost your friends, but may I urge you and every cat owner to please, please keep them indoors for life so your losses are not repeated. I have had cats all my life and kept all indoors only. Eventually one loses them to illness or old age, but they live safer and longer lives indoors. Please, fellow kitty-lovers, keep them alive and inside!
Adopted a 4-month old Russian Blue, had him altered at 6 months yesterday. He is a riotous little scoundrel, playful in the extreme, hugely affectionate, and chronic purr-er, chow-hound, and rock-and-rolling wrestler with my 3-year old Tonkinese. Sleeps on our bed, cuddling and chasing toes. Has demolished a number of glass and pottery items thus far, zooming and leaping around with his buddy. Has a Siamese head, those little mauve toes, quite small and will probably remain small-ish. We named him Boris, but call him BB (Boris the Brat), and he is just a total delight and a wonderful example of his breed.

Last December, a week before Christmas, sone fool dumped a female Van
by my house, out in the country, East Texas. The first cold spell drove the little kitten into my green house, where I found her. Obviously used to human touch, she came right to me and, I'm happy to say, took right up with me and now, August of 2011, has become a most joyous addition to all the other "dumped" cats, living with me.

Not my first Van, she is very typical in behavior of a Van, taking over the house and home. Pitty the fool, who dumped her.
