Parakeets are great birds and even a wild budgie can be tamed in 2 weeks. They're smart and strive to please and they're the best pets you could ever imagine!
Celeste - 2008-07-07 I was given a small blue budgie in 2000 for a birthday gift...I immediately gave him the name "BUBBLES"...About two month later as I was washing dishes at my sink....BUBBLES flew into the dish water and came up full of soap bubbles... after drying off all the bubbles, I realized BUBBLES had been given the perfect name.
Emily Miranda - 2008-07-02 My friend just got 6 budgies from a woman who couldn't keep them! Victoria(f), Twiggy(f), Buggy(f), Sapphire(f), Ruby(f),and Ricky(m). We definitely think Ricky is going to choose Ruby as his mate. He already did all the page says. If I get the approval from my mom I am getting a male and female budgie from the nest. I'm so excited! The birds are so pretty and funny!
ABBY - 2008-06-17 I have 4 pet birds. One's name is sophie and the others are Henry, Jason, and rachel. Sophie and Henry started laying eggs 2 or 3 weeks ago, Jason and Rachel copied them. We have 13 eggs in all and 1 justed hatched. It is so cute, you can hear it tweet a lot. Well that's what I have to say about parakeets.
trey - 2008-06-05 I have 4 budgies; [m]Claudy, [fm] Daisy, [m] Huebo, and [fm] Pochie. Claudy is a male budgie, I named him Claudy because it sounds like cloudy. I thought of it because his chest looks like the sky. I named his partner Daisy because her head is yellow and her body is white. The other pair I named them Huebo and Pochie because I saw it on a tv show called icarly. Thanks for letting me post my opinions.

Yesterday 1 Parakeet hatched, you can hear the little beeps it makes.
