Thanks for letting me comment about my conure, his name is JJ and he is 4 years old. he counts to three and says Thank you, goodbye when We are going out to shop. he knows the difference between going outside and leaving our house. He calls me Papaw Charles and my wife Mama Reba. You ask him where he is and he says here I am. Sings Rocka by baby and gets mad because we want him to stop talking and says, you little fart. JJ is a real part of our life and we are his family. He is happy when he can go outside, will sit on my shoulder, and talk all the time, but he is bashful.

Hi, my name is Pickles. I was named before my owner bought me. I am 4 months old and already have such a personality. I love to ride on shoulders, hands, and sit on top of heads. I am already trying to say "step up" and "hello." When my owner says "step up" I climb onto my owners' fingers. One of my owners has already taught to me "squawk" like a parrot (I am very smart for my age).

I love to climb and give kisses and be petted. When I'm left alone and I hear my name called I let out a loud screech. When my owners come home and I hear them, I do the same thing to let them know that I hear them.

I don't know if I am a male or a female but my owner thinks I am a male because my head is sort of flat and from what she has read on the internet the male's head is sort of flat and the females is more rounded. I have had my shots and am banded.

I am such a joy to my new owners and love the huge cage and all the toys that they bought me so far.

Pickles has only been with us for 1 day and our lives have changed. I would recommend to everyone whoever wanted a pet to buy a Sun Conure. I always wanted a parrot and decided one day to stop at the pet store and there was "Pickles." From the moment they took him out and put him on my finger I was hooked. The beauty and personality of this bird won me over.

We have recently adopted a beautiful handfed dusky male and I would never have believed a bird could be so intelligent, affectionate and adorable. Watching Nomo is much better than TV. He is worth every penny we paid for him.

Hi, I bought a sun conure about four months ago and my life has not been the same since. My fiance and I named her Lilly. She is the sweetest little bird. Lilly loves to "hide" underneath my shirt and follows me everywhere, usually on my shirt, head, or hand. She often tries to mimic me, for example, whenever I brush my teeth she will sit there and shake her head and she loves to take showers. Unlike other conures that I have read about, she loves people. My friends often come over just to hold her. I have never seen so much personality wrapped up in a bird. Something else she does is whenever the door opens she squaks until I call her name. She's my little "guard bird"!

I visit my Javanese massue for a massage each month and they rear a White eyed conure , which resembles a miniature Yellow naped Amazon parrot. It is really adorable, tame and affectionate with strangers. Each visit, whenever I go near it, this cutie bends his head to let me scratch. It melts my heart to see how his feathers around his face and neck fluff up and makes me want to own one as soon as possible.

I own a five-month-old green-cheeked conure named Mojo. He doesn't speak yet, but he does make some whistling noises. Being a budgie person until now, I can't decipher what his parrot noises mean like I can with my two budgies. He bathes in a small bowl almost every day. He likes to burrow underneath the paper lining the bottom of his cage and in his own scarf, and also likes walking through and under things. He's sweet and affectionate and wants his cheeks rubbed all the time. He likes to play with a ponytail holder--he becomes so absorbed with it that he'll lay on his back, waving it around with one foot, and sometimes does accidental somersaults. He generally ignores my budgies, but eats their food and plays with their toys. His wings are clipped and he likes to go outside on my shoulder and gaze wide-eyed at the hummingbirds and the hugeness of the world around him. He loves all kinds of food, especially fresh berries and fruit juice. Mojo's a great pet.

Animal-world your site was and still is very helpful, because I am thinking about gettting a Green cheeked conure and the information your site provided was very helpful, especially since I knew absolutely nothing about conures! But now I do! Thank you!

MY GOLDEN CONURE, BETTY IS THE CUTIEST, FUNNIEST BIRD I HAVE EVER SEEN.
I HAVE 4 DOGS AND THEY DON'T PLAY WITH THEIR TOYS SO I PUT THE TOYS IN BETTY'S CAGE AND SHE IS A SCREAM. SHE TREATS THEM LIKE HER CHILDREN. SHE FALLS ASLEEP ON THEM, UPSIDE DOWN ON THE BOTTOM OF THE CAGE. THE FIRST TIME I SAW HER UPSIDE DOWN I THOUGHT SHE WAS DEAD.
SHE CARRIES THE TOYS, INCLUDING A DOG FRIZBBE, UP TO THE TOP OF THE CAGE. SHE DROPS SMALL TOYS IN THE EXTRA BOWL ON THE SIDE OF HER CAGE.
I LOVE THIS BIRD SO MUCH. SHE,IS JUST A JOY TO OWN.
