Hi! I just adopted a bluefronted and she is gorgeous. Her name is Greta. She's (I'm told) about 40 years old and needed a home - and that was that. She has been here for 2 days and is becoming a little more familiar and nicer. She obviously has been handled before and I'm trying to get her more comfortable with us. I'm loving being her new Mommy so far!

My OW Amazon was a surrender at the animal hospital I work at. She boarded with us for months on end, due to an illness with the owner. She was 20 when I got her, obese, arthritic and so bored!! I have gotten her on a great adventurous diet, given her a variety of foot toys to help with dexterity. All OW's look so wise... I don't think I could ever own another breed. Pepita is now 26, and the center of the household. She holds a place in the family that she has always deserved, and I am so happy I gave her a chance at happiness.

Hello, my name is DeEtte. We purchased our Yellow Nape Amazon Rocky 10 years ago. He was only 8 weeks old and we had the opportunity to hand feed him until he was 12 weeks old. He has the vocabulary of over 400 words and often uses them in sentences in conversational content. We are currently searching for another Nape for family members as they have fell in love with Rocky, kidnapped, and demanded a location of a baby for his return, at any cost. Rocky laughs, crys, calls the dogs and tells them to hurry before they get cold, demands food (we eat a healthy diet and our vet approved our diet to share with Rocky). He is on a primary diet of Sunseed Parrot Pellets and refuses to eat any other brands of Pellets. He has never ate "seeds" but is allowed pre-cracked nuts.

This breed is intelligent and has a gentle spirit. If yours doesn't- they just need time to relax into being able to trust again. Have patience. I bought one that hadn't been socialized however he's now doing GREAT! Talk to them, provide plenty of treats, and if you can- they'll really appreciate a TV within viewing distance from the cage. I let mine out of the cage all day long so he can feel 'free' inside the house. Wonderful birds- absolutely wonderful.

We have 3 of these dynamo parrots and adore all of them. The first 2 were taken in together, via our sanctuary, and that was only 3 years ago. Since that day in February, we have enjoyed our babys immensely. We have poncho, baby and jasmine.
I would not hesitate to recommend these little packages of dynamite for anyone looking for a parrot in a small package. You get small packaging, but large personality. My boy poncho is in his 30s and still has enough energy to stay with me 24 hours a day, and he even sleeps and eats in my lap, and stays with me all the time. I adore these birds, and would love to breed for preservation.
So if you are looking, get yourself a white front. You won't regret it, that is if you are up to the challenge of keeping up with these bundles of energy.

I have had my Orange Winged Amazon, Evie, since she was a featherless baby, she is now 2 years old, and is the light of my life. Evie is delightful to interact with, she whistles, dances, and talks alot considering that she is still very young. I recently bought a lovebird a couple of months ago, and Evie is already calling his name and yelling at him to get his attention. She is amazingly affectionate, and loves cuddles and conversations. She is also very personable, and adores to be the center of attention. Evie is a wonderful companion, she is like a child to me, and i love her dearly. I would recommend an Orange Winged Amazon to anyone who is willing to devote the time, energy and patience as you would to a small child.

My Panama is named "Sam" (we are not sure if he is male or female). We got him at about 3 months. He is the sunshine in our day! He talks up a storm and laughs with everyone in the household. He learned to talk very young and continues to learn new words, phrases and even a song...."I feel Pretty". We are overjoyed with him. He is as kind as he is smart. He even sleeps with my husband every Saturday morning for an hour or two! He just snuggles up, rests his head on his arm and naps! He is not just a pet...but a member of our family!

ive got an orange winged amazon for my first parrot. everyone is scared when they first go near a parrot, but give them a week and they will be different. ive had mine for about 3weeks now, he's ace, and sooo funny. they make you laugh so much and are such good company. mine made me laugh the other day, i turned around and he was in my wardrobe?! my dad didnt like them at first but now he said he'd never b without one! they are better than friends! for the money you pay for a parrot the amount of pleasure they give you back is well worth it!
