I HAVE/HAD A BLUE INDIAN RINGNECK. (UNTIL LAST WEEK). HE IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL BOY. HE LOVES MY COCKATOO AND WOULD GIVE HIM KISSES AND SWEET TALK HIM ALL DAY. HE IS A BETTER TALKER THAN ANY PARROT I HAVE EVER HAD. SUCH A SWEET BIRD. HE WAS ALMOST A YEAR OLD WHEN I GOT HIM AND I WAS TOLD HE WAS HAND TAMED. WELL, WITH A LOT OF WORK WE FELL FOR EACH OTHER AND I'VE HAD HIM FOR 8 YEARS. I WAS GETTING READY TO RE-CLIP HIS WINGS the other day, AND HE TRIED TO FLY TO OUR COCKATOO TO BE CLOSER TO HIM, AND OFF HE FLEW. I FOLLOWED HIM AROUND TOWN FOR A FEW DAYS. HE LOVED FLYING AND NOW I CAN'T FIND HIM. COME HOME SKYLER, COME HOME. WE MISS YOU. TONI, IN FONTANA ,CA

Well, My parakeet's had two babies. One is blue, with black, & a yellow head her name is Little Dipper. The other is all yellow w/red eyes and his name is Nubs. I think my book said that he was a lutino or a latino, I can't remember really. They are a year and four months old. I am trying to tame them. I can hold Little Dipper but Nubs is still scared and bites really hard. And if you want to know why his name is Nubs. My step-mom and I were clipping his wings and she was holding on to his tail while he was trying to get away and his tail feathers came out. They grew back but Nubs just stuck. So that is why I call him Nubs. Lol : )

My babies name is ADEL, he's about 6 months and only had him for 30 days.
he was not hand feed. I worked with him every day like a baby, 10 to 12 hours a day, and even go to sleep with him. He bites me about a hundred times and I wanted to ring his neck. But I love the towel, if it wasn

Hi There, We got our Hahn's Macaw just over a week ago after a two week period where we visited him at the pet shop on a nearly daily basis. We've called him Retro, after his habit of walking backwards along the floor or work top on which he may be. There are only a few Avian vets here in South Africa so we have not really any proof that he is a 'he'but we do know that he was born in May this year. This is an amazing bird and the size of it does not at all describe the character! We also have a blue fronted Amazon and while it's too early to tell whether they will get on, it has been lovely watching them call to each other and show off by doing little tricks like hanging upside down and being copied by the other. I have been most impressed with how gentle this little bird is and even when he grasps a finger it is not with any real pressure, and always with a very close inspection with the amazingly long tongue. I recommend this species to anyone but caution you that they do have a really good morning call!

I have had parakeets in the past and unfortunately lost one to egg binding and one to a philodendhron that I have now gotten rid of. I was nervous about getting a new bird but once I got to the pet store and met Oogie my GCC it was love at first sight!! The only way I can describe him is like a tiny puppy with feathers. He is into everything, chews on everything including my very tolerant cats. He has not started talking but I believe he may be trying. He does imitate a couple of whistles though. When it comes to bedtime he has also learned the command "back in your cage oogie" I sometimes have to tell him a couple of times if he really really doesn't want to go.;)

Hello folks, I loved browsing throuh all the different birds. As that is my first love. The Tangerine Dove you have pictured, is the best of that color i've ever seen. White N.Ring & White Flight feathers are the standard, but most are down to dunggy grey, from tomany color crossings. You've got a prize pic' there. < Dr2Lofts > in east Tn.

I have two baby parakeets named Sammy and Sandy. They are 6 months old. One day me and my mom went to the pet store to buy a new cage but when we got home sandy bit my mom's finger and flew out of it. I was so worried that she might fly out through the hole in the fan in the roof. But we still got her inside.

For the past 2 summers we have had a pintail whydah visiting our garden. It is a very bossy bird. It will not allow other birds to feed and chases them away like a policeman. We have no need for an alarm as it constantly pecks on our windows from about 05h30! Lesley from Benoni in South Africa.
