read through the information written on the fish on this site.  Some great information.  These fish are not the easiest to care for, so do a lot of research!  Good luck

It is very cute. but manage to keep one in a tank. It is as described, fierce towards it owns kind, and chasing each other. Anyway, for feeding, it eats on its own food. They seldom go on top to get food, eat food on the bottom. They mostly prefer live food, baby shrimp, and snails. Gosh!, it was to clean up the snails in my tank at the first place... but all the snails were gone within a week after I got a puffer.

I might think of some other food for this tiny thing.

I have a pea puffer named Wilford. He lived w/ gouramis, neons, and barbs in a 30 gal tank. I just love the little guy but he recently had to be moved to his own tank because he ate one of his friends! It was the 1st sign of aggresion I had ever seen and I've had him for almost a year. So he may play nice for awhile but beware of Mr.Hyde! lol

I have one little puffer and it is so much fun to watch. It is in a tank with 3 gouramis, two cat fish and pleco, and none of the other fish bother it. He loves freeze dried bloodworms and snails. I would recommend anyone to get one. It is my favorite fish.

I have 4 puffers in a 25 gallon tank. I had them with guppies hoping they would eat the babies, but they got tired of that after awhile and then I was overrun with guppies. My puffers love to eat frozen mussels and shrimp.

Best not to keep with larger puffers (5 cm+). I did that once and these little cuties were gobbled up by their bigger cousin daily! Also when I kept it in a comunity tank with guppies those puffers didn't live long. I must say it's really cute!
