Hello fellow clown loachers. These are the best fish. I once got one on its own but it died. I did the same thing and that one died too. Finally, after reading more about them, i bought 3 and they have been fine ever since! They dart around my tank and love brine shrimp! These little fish were the best choice i ever made!!

My three yo-yo loaches (i've had them for under 6 months) are already over 3" one is almost 5" so yes, they do get bigger than 2.5" and rarely they'll get to be over 8. 6" is more like their max size.

Great fish! Fun to watch. I thought they would be shy and hide most of the time, like most loaches. But they are quite lively actually. And a bit silly too. They tend to rest on their sides every now and often. Easy to keep, very happy fish if you refresh your water weekly (I change 50% of my water every saturday). Since they become increasingly rare in the wild, they cost some money. If you get them, take good care of them!

Dojo Loaches are great little fish. They are very easy to feed. Mine even sift through the gravel in expectation when I drop flakes in for the other fish. (Their equivelent of drooling...?) Mine eat a pretty balanced diet, but will die for frozen Bloodworms. They even nibble on their tankmate, a Peacock Eel, because they confuse his red fins with the worms. (Plus he usually has some in his mouth.) He generally nips this in the bud. They are wonderful fish, and can get to be very tame. One of mine, who I think to be a female, will take food from my hand, and during gravel vaccuuming, will whisker my fingers. It's very funny. All in all, these fish are great pets, and I'd recommend then to anyone who can care for them properly. You won't ever regret that purchase!

I love my Dojo loach. It's very active and friendly, but keeps trying to get out of the tank. It has a great personality.

They are very hardy and I've had mine for several years. An ideal fish for beginners I think.

this is a fun playful and curious fish. Do not expect to see it often though as it enjoys hiding. To combat its timidness be sure to buy six as this will reassure the loach.

They are a very hardy fish in general.

I got 20 Dojo Loaches from a festival here in Japanm from playing kingyo sukui (in this case its called Dojou Sukui). Cost me 100 yen for one game. I must of scooped about 40 of them with my paper spoon before it broke. But the game store clerk said I could only have half of whats there. But they are very happy together in my 12 litre fish tank. I put a couple of empty sake bottles for their enjoyment. Its fun seeing them swim around franticly. I give them Frozen Peas and they love it, Its like watching a football game.
