I love watching my Horsefaced Loach make his way around the tank wiggling and burrowing his flexible nose around every individual piece of gravel looking for food. I am on the search to find out more about his unique eyes. He seems to "blink". He is definitely a great community fish as he is pretty much a loner.

I have an orange finned loach that is a beautiful bright blue. I named him Blue when I got him over 12 years Ago. I never thought any of my fish would live that long, I have several other fish that I purchased with him that are still alive too. Blue has so much personality and I love that he has eyelids. He lays in a great big log with only his head inside (usually) and his body sticking out. He looks like a dog in a dog house. When I feed my fish algae wafers, he will dart out and collect several and take them into the log before the plecostomus can get them all. About five years ago I went from a 55 gal tank to a 150 and bought a couple of orange and black loaches. About a year ago one of them (I guess) outgrew the log he had stayed in and moved in with Blue. I love my fish!

I have been keeping Sids for a few years now (in a 50 Gal tank) and have had them spawn. I was force to relocate them to another 50 gal tank as the tank they were in started to leak. I did a head count as I was moving them and their number had increased by 8. Though I had never seen any signs of spawning or small Sids, their numbers increased.

I bought a dojo loach 2 weeks ago and i have enjoyed watching him swim and just pop out. I have especially loved watching him find food. I have been cracking up because everytime he finds a flake of food on the bottom he will go straight up and have his head digging in the gravel and his tail way up in the air. The dojo loach is my favorite fish and gets along with all the other fish. I have never seen him nip at anyone. He is a joy to have in my tank.

these fish are crazy. They are completely active, beautiful, and fun to watch. I have a school of 5 in my 90 gallon tall tank, along with a yoyo loach. They swim up and down up and down on the side of the tank, and make you dizzy.

I bought one of these fish believing it was a dojo loach. I have kept dojos before and this little guy is more peaceful even than dojos! He is slightly more attractive in a small community tank. He exhibits the same mannerisms as similar loaches and is extremely mild-mannered.

I have 8 cinnamon loaches in a 79 degree Fahrenheit, 6.5-7.0 pH 90 gallon aquarium filled with African (?) driftwood. I feed them shrimp pellets and sometimes algae disks. They are very active and tend to come out most of the day. Today when I was cleaning them, I was amazed to discover a very small loach, which was obviously an offspring. It was about an inch long and not more than a 5-6 hairs thick...at first I thought it was a piece of plastic, then I saw it shake its head like a loach and swim off!

I love my clown loaches. I have 3 in a 55 gallon tank. They live with 2 very large fire eels, lots to neon tetras, cat fish, bushnose plecostamus, reproductive guppies, 2 siamese alge eaters, a couple of african water frogs, and more. The cool thing is that they started to reproduce too. She has just laid eggs. Found a nice cubby in a large barnicle shell that I put in there. So am looking forward to having some babies. These fish are great. They are very active and keep us entertained for hours. The boys are always busy and dancing around. They eat anything. I originally bought them to eat up the snail population and they do a good job at it. They are a definite must in a tank.
