I have a 3 to 3 1/2 inch male and about a 3 inch female clown loach. Mamma died and I now have 5 frys and daddy. I have read that it is rare for loaches to breed. I have a 30 gallon aquarium with fan tailed guppies, red finned shark, and assorted mollys. None of them have bothered the fry (yet).

I had 2 of these wonderful creatures in my first tank and they disappeared. I kinda forgot about them and a year later while thoroughly cleaning the tank they were both alive and very fat! One started coming out regularly, and would swim in circles! I just got a new 5 gallon eclipse which i decorated with an asian temple decoration. It has 4 small openings and he quickly found this and now lives in the asian temple, every once in a while sticking his head out. Awesome! He doesn't bother his tank mates and has such a mysterious personality! I love him!

We have two dojo loaches and love them very much! Even more than the other fish we have. We have many fancy and regular gold fish, cory's, kuhli loaches, rosy barbs, mollies, blue gouramis, scissor tail danios (they like to jump out of the tank so watch out), chinee alge eaters, guppies, glow light, and tetras. They get along great with everyone. The dojos love each other- best in pairs. They are so playful! It's so funny when they FART! We haven't found any info on this. They enjoy dried shrimps and medium size koi pellets. We highly recommend that everyone should have them and fall in love with these silly creatures.

The clown loach is also great for controlling or fixing a snail problem. Not wanting to use chemicals in my tank I found some research that suggested some loaches will eat snails and that the clown was very good at this. I got two loaches and within two days my large snail problem was SOLVED never to return. These are fun and colorful fish and great for snail control. Get a couple of these and you will not be disappointed!

We have had a Yo Yo Pakistani Loach for 13 years. It died just the other day. It has been the coolest fish ever. It has never bothered the other fish other than the odd chase and certainly had a personality. It has always been kept in a large tank with lots of other small fish ie, tiger barbs, tetras, platys, cichlids etc. I have always kept a lot of plants in the tank and bog wood and it seemed to have the same hiding places. We have just bought another one today. Who knows if it will also still be here in 13 years.

I have 3 horse face loaches all about 3 - 4 inches long. They get on really well & follow each other round. I also have guppies & angels in this 4 foot tank. The loaches come out occasionally during the day but are more active during the early evening. They are great to watch. Two of the guppies were having a tug of war with one, trying to take the food out of its mouth. It wasn`t too bothered, the guppies only managed to get a bit off him.

I also have two Yoyo Loaches that I bought not so long ago. I think I have one female and one male and they are very active. The female looks full of eggs and I also thought she was dead because she was upside down. She had me worried for a moment, but she is very content this way. This must be a way of sleeping or breeding maybe. I am still trying to find more info on them breeding.

I have one baby yoyo and he is 10 times smaller then my other fish (mollies, barbs, sharks, catfish) and is best friends with my pepperd catfish! He does not pick on anyone and does not get picked on by anyone. He is great, i love him. He is cute and active, and cleans my tank very very well

I have had the pleasure of keeping three zebra loaches for over a year now. They are the cutest little creatures. I made them a cave with rocks and a plastic pipe and they stay hiding in that area for most of the day. When they do come out they are busily zipping about the aquarium playfully nipping each other. I love them!
