I'm going to tell you why guppies are cool, they only need five gallons and get along perfectly with each other and with other fish. Also they're just plain cool because they come in so many colors I can't tell you so if you're getting your first fish get a guppy.

I just started with a 3 gallon rounded tank. I have a male and female fantailed guppy and a small catfish. We just found one fry so far, but are looking forward to many more. We love the babies!

I have a 3ft tank with 3 ruby sharks, 2 albinos, 1 bala shark, 1 red tail black shark, 2 guppies, 2 platies, 3 frogs, 2 coolie loch, and 2 plecos! Well planted and I think it looks amazing! I know people say not to put ruby sharks together as they will fight and be aggressive, but mine are so lovely and never had a problem! I added all the sharks to the collection last to avoid the aggression and it seemed to work! :) And just the other day I've been blessed with 30 odd guppies! So I've been reading on here how to care for them the best I can! Thank you very much, it's been so much help!!!! :)

Hi fish lovers! I am a Jamaican who is a bit addicted to her fishes. I have 2 tanks; one 40gall and the other a 20 gall tank. I have 2 fancytailed goldfishes, 2 comets, 3 algae eaters, 3 orandas, 1 black moor, 2 angelfishes and 2 guppies. My guppies had babies, 9 of them. I separated the babies and placed them in a separate container feeding them on flakes. They are doing just fine and I can't wait for them to grow and breed again so I can have a lot more. Aren't fishes just great? When I am stressed out or just feeling tired, I just sit and turn off all the lights and watch them moving about in their tanks minding their own business. They are just beautiful creatures. I have had them for close to a year now.

HI all, I have about 30 guppies in a 30 gallon tank. Most of my females have been pregnant for a while, but I have only gotten 3 babies out of them. After reading many comments, I noticed many people are putting 1 male and 2 females in thei own tank. Is this a better way to have them breed rather than putting them all in the same tank?

A wonderful site I must say. I am a youngster to Fantail guppies but am glad to see that there are others who love these beauties as myself. Any questions, I now know where to turn.

I am a begginer with guppies and so far I am loving it. I have two males and a female she just had 15 or 16 babies. If you are thinking about breeding a good thing to feed the fry would be baby brime shrimp it keeps them health an may even makes the colors more beautiful.
