Basically I have been breeding guppies for the past 8 years and they never sieze to amaze me because I always have something new in my aquarium. To some extent it can be said that it is not exactly easy to breed them because you can get as many frys but the adults have a tendancy of eating them and before you know it all of them will be gone. Therefore I would preferably seperate the expecting mother from the rest of the fish and in my case I always make sure there is more than enough food daily so as to reduce the chances of the mother eating any thing consumables unnecessarily. The guppy list is endless ,but for me I think they are the most interesting pet fish one can keep due to their variety and adaptation in various communities.I just love the guppy family,GO GUPPIES GO!I have about 100 adults and fry of up to 120 per month(various types of the guppy family.

I had started out with gold fish in a 10gal tank and got a couple of platies. I dumped the gold fish and now I have two 20gal tanks with about 40 or more platies of different varieties.

I THINK THAT GUPPIES ARE GREAT FISH TO KEEP. THEY ARE VERY EASY TO TAKE CARE OF AND ARE ESPECIALLY GOOD WITH PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOT KEPT FISH BEFORE.

Mollies are great pets, easy to keep, and are prolific breeders. I have had mollies for just a week and now have 53 more. If you want to breed fish, try mollies, they seem to breed the best out of all the livebearers.

I love having platies. They are wonderful to watch and comes in various colors and sizes. They are easy to breed and easy to tell apart. I have two platies at the moment. A male and a female that are currently living in a ten gallon tank with other fishes.

Platies are my favorite tropical fish. The different varieties of colors and their small size make them a sight for sore eyes when you put them in a school together. I currently have a heavily-decorated 10-gal. tank with a mating pair of blue-coral dawn platies, a deep-red platy, and a long-bodied, gold-cream platy with pink eyes, although I think he could be a molly--not really sure--regardless, he is gorgeous. The mating pair has just given birth to a bunch of fries and they look so cute swimming around really fast looking for food and hiding from the adults. If they survive to adult-hood, I will be moving all my platies to my bigger 29-gal. community tank (since no 10-gal. will be sufficient enough to hold about 16 platies).

Guppies are perfect for beginners and they are good for season veterins like myself. With their beauiful colors they are the perfect fish to brighten up a fish Tank. One thing to keep in mind though if you have too many guppies together in the same tank then they will nibble at each others tails. Baby guppies can hide in any plants but some are better than others. To prevent having your guppies die there are a couple of fish that you should not put in with the guppies. Some examples are all Barbs (like tiger barbs). i have personally caught my fathers tiger barb biting off parts of tails and pop eggs (from the one time that i had an egg from a nother fish).

I love platies! I have only two right now, in a 10 gal. tank, and they are both females. One of them is pregnant. I hope all goes well though because I am going to let her have them in the community tank, and although I have only one other fish, the frey are still at risk. I have had other platies, 2 male, which were the first that I started with. One of them died a few months later. The other was my favorite, and he also died about a month or so after the first one. During the so little time I had with my last male platy, I got him a friend, a female friend, and was he happy! She is still here, and now she has a new friend. :)
