I am from the philipppines. I got 50 fish tanks. I am breeding several types of mollies, all in one tanks. My only problem is that when a female mollies deliver its fry, all frys will only last for a week. No one will survive, and if there is, it is malnourished fry and got a very dull appearance. Can anyone fix my problem??

3 years ago I put a pair of green swordtails and a pair of reds into my tank and I raised many fry which have now bred further generations. I have added another red pair for genetic variety and now have swordtails of an astonishing colour mix, including red-white tuxedos, red eyes and albinos. I have one pink female! She has produced her first batch of thirty babies which seem to be either pink or silvery-white or gold! The swordtail is a beautiful and hardy species and mine are thriving in a tank with angels, albino corys, chain loaches and dwarf cichlids. The angels and corys have also produced young successfully.

To whom it may concern,

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise on mollies. I have learned much valuable information from your website. I have some mollies coexisting happily with other community fish including guppies, dwarf and Mickey Mouse platys, female bettas, one dwarf frog, and one double tail male betta. They all seem to be doing fine together. I have dalmation, orange and black regular tailed mollies. Recently I purchased some lyre tail mollies. They sure are an active fish. They constantly are speedy swimmers and aggressive breeders. I now have some babies from these fish and they are so cute! I have a silver male lyre tail molly that is often chasing the female fish. He is the stud of my tank so I call him Fabio. He is sometimes chasing the other males and I assume this is his way to get them away from his girl mollies. Luckily I have more females then males so no single female molly is singled out as that would lead to unnecessary stress. For later reference, I have organized your website and other related websites that I may need later.

Sincerely,

Irene Steffen

To whom it may concern,

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise on platties. I have learned much valuable information from your website. I have some platties coexisting happily with other community fish including guppies, mollies, several female bettas and one double tail male betta. They all seem to be doing fine together. Most of my platties have the Mickey Mouse markings on their tails. As I am a big Disney fan, I love these types the best. At this time I have a couple of babies that have survived in the tank and live with the other fish just fine. For later reference, I have organized your website and other related websites that I may need later.

Sincerely,

Irene

I got red and black mollies which breed every 2 weeks. At one point I had 40 or more fry in my tank which totally amazed me and my girls. Lovely fish. Regards, Mossy

How did you get the red mollies, did you breed them yourself...I'm want to try breeding to see if I can produce the red strain.

Hi we have a nursery tank and at the moment, we have about 100 or more baby red mollies. She seems to breed all the time. Was wondering how to go about selling these fish as about 40 are all good size and we are scared they will start to eat the new babies soon. Thanks.

Cool info. I have 2 Mickey mouse platies ( female = blue/green , male = yellow/red). I found out that they reproduced just a few day's ago. I caught 13 of them and put them into a breed tank inside of the normal tank (with a tube) and they are doing fine! :)

P.s do not mix mickey mouse fish with goldfish (always keep goldfish with other goldfish because otherwise they will die). Adding a big stone of coral will make the water harder and not always good for tropical or other fish. Peace

I got 2 Mickey Mouse Platys the other day. A male and a female. I named them Mickey and Minnie. They are doing great with my other fish. I have some Balloon Mollies in the tank with them. 1 Clown Loach, 1 Yo Yo loach, and 2 little frogs. Everyone gets along. Everyone's happy. I love the Mickey Mouse Platys.

I have a short finned yellow molly. It is very small but lonely, and has no partners
except two gold fish, which I have.
