I have 2 cinnamon dwarf gouramis (which are a different color variation of the dwarf gourami) along with 1 paradise gourami, 2 black skirt tertas, 2 plecos, 1 dwarf suckerfish, 1 african dwarf frog, 1 female betta and 1 male platty in a 10 gallon tank(i know its a little crowded but im thinking about getting an 18 gallon soon). The dwarf gouramis get along great with other fish and usaully stick with eack other. These fish are great additions to any community tank with smaller fish.

I had 4 Dwarf Gouramis and a bunch of Tetras in a 100 litre tank with a lot of plant cover. The Dwarf Gouramis exhibited a considerable degree of aggression towards each other, and established some sort of pecking order, but generally ignored the Tetras.

Some hobbists have commented that Dwarf Gouramis are temperamentally unpredictable; they may or may not establish hierarchies.

I just got one of these fish and it is getting along great. For those with problems keeping two....try getting a third or fourth. It is said that when you keep two, the one will dominate the other, but if there is more they will settle down.

I have two bettas (a male and female) and they are great starter fish, easy to take care of, all you need to do to keep them alive is feed them and clean their tank. I recommend getting them a 5 gallon tank or up because they tend to be depressed in smaller tanks. These fish in most cases are good comunity fish (exept if you have more than one male) and Id recommend them for tanks with tetras, small gouramis or other comunity fish.

We have had our Giant Gourami for some time now, and he has rarly caused any problems, he seemed a little down at first but now gets on with my two other dwarf gouramis.

He is a great addition to our tank, and is great fun to watch.

Id recommend one to anyone with a large tank, as he grew very fast!

I have 2 flame gouramies and 2 powder blue gouramies in a 100 gal tank with other fish. They seem to like the pellets and not fear my 11 inch (non-aggressive - he pays little attention to the other fish) Oscar, I have not seen any actions that I would consider aggressive. They have not injured nor chased any of my clown loaches or painted glass. I have really enjoyed these fish.

I had 2 male Opaline Gouramis that chased each other constantly. I found another home for one of them, and added a male Pearl Gourami, 2 Rainbow Fish (male and female), and 3 Harlequin Rasboras. Everyone seems to be getting along fine so far. The Opaline Gourami nipped at the tails of the Rainbow Fish at first, but seems to have settled down now. The 20 gallon tank now consists of 1 Pearl Gourami, 1 Opaline Gourami,2 Dwarf Gouramis, 7 Neon Tetras, 3 Pristella Tetras, 2 Rainbow Fish, and 3 Harlequin Rasboras. So far everything is going well.
