we got 2 red flame honey gouramis with bunch of different kinds of fish. oh my god, they are pretty strong. Only these gouramis survived while all the rest of fish have died. They are aggressive, too, but we would like to call them "active." They are huge glutons, too. We got two corys afterwards, but these gouramis eat everything whenever we feed them, so those poor corys are starving! But we love our gouramis, they are so cute, they swim around between rocks and plants, any small cracks they found. They seem to be very curious creatures, and they are never afraid of us, rather like us, while our corys get frightened when we approach to a tank. omg poor corys~

Hi, I've had betas for many years now and the longest living one died two months ago, he was 5 years old and that is not counting how old he was when I got him. I recently bought what seems to be a baby because he is the smallest guys I have ever seen. He is absolutely gorgeous, belly is dark blue and the rest of him is burgandy. He is only eatig 1 pellet 3 times per day. I tried 2 pellets but he just ignores it. I have him in a very large fish bowl and that seems so big for him. I just love having him around.

After reading up everything on the net i got my boy, Cian- blue with red fins. i agree that they have such great personalites and do interact with their owners! im so attached to this boy and have just got him a g/f (in a community tank) who im getting to know. she is very sweet too. Cian was very fussy with his food, only really eating flakes! finally he will eat white worms happily. i am getting a red male this weekend who is going to be his mate (in a separate tank of course). be good to see their different personalites shine. i dont think i will ever get any other fish other than a siamese fighter from now on!

I have a large blue gourami male. I have put two Plecostomus in with him and both Plecostomus have disappeared without a trace. I noticed him nipping at the Plecostomus, then a week later there was no trace of the Plecostomus. My husband did not believe that he ate the Plecostomus, so he bought another and put it into the tank.
2 weeks later that one disappeared without a trace. We are thinking of moving the gourmi to smaller tank and getting other fish to put into the larger tank.

I have a 40 gallon aquarium with a 4 1/2 inch Bala Shark that killed every fish I ever put in there. When I saw the Gold Gouramis and learned that they are slightly agressive, I bought four of them hoping they would hold their own with the shark. They all get along just fine with each other. I'm not sure if it's because the shark was lonely (he was alone for over a year due to his homicidal tendencies)or if the Golds stand up to him!

My Kissing Gourami, Pinky has been with me 14 years! It is indeed a family pet! He is very picky about what he eats, and will remind you to feed him when it is meal time! Fish really do have there own personality!

Gorami's are really cool. We have two of them, along with 2 black goldfish. We got them today and they seem to like playing with all of the fish.

The blue gourami is a very awesome fish. I kinda noticed as they get older, they change colours to show when they are happy and settled, and also when they are nervous and scared. They are pretty aggressive and will kill smaller fish (even they're own kind), so be careful. They are very smart and one of the best fish out there! Mine's already 3 years old! I love you "Fat B"!!

The opaline Gourami, I think is very aggressive because i had two of them in a long 20 gallon aquarium and the bigger one attacked the smaller one. So I had to move the smaller one into my 10 gallon aquarium, but it died. So I would suggest to anyone wanting to buy one of these fish, you won't be able to put smaller fish in.
