I just bought my first Black Moor Goldfish today. I dubbed him "Rasputin" in hope that he will be a survivor like the Russian monk.

My Black Moors are really cool. I have 3 and I keep them in a Biorb filtered goldfish bowl. They are called Chorky, Ikea and Minty. Its very relaxing to watch them and they look really cool in my new room. They get on fine with each other and with other fish, as i used to keep some in a mixed tank. I would recommend these great fish to anyone.

I got a black moor a little more then two months ago. i have enjoyed his company right from the start. I have him in a 2 gallon tank which we will augment to either 10 or 20 soon. Even though I now have a 72 gallon tank with 18 fish (clown loaches; tiger barbs and green tiger barbs; opaline, moonlight, and pearl gouramis; powder blue dwarf gouramis; and a pleco). I always come back to watch my first fish I bought. the black moor seems healthy and has huge fins compared to others. He is 1.5 inches long and is named buddy.

This type of Goldfish is great to have and fun to watch. It is a good fish to start out with, even though for me it shares a tank with about 20 other fish.

Hello Black Moor fans! I recently (4 days ago) purchansed a Black Moor, named Magellan, and an orange Oranda/Fantail type fish, named Tangy. They get along splendidly with each other! Tangy is very adventurous, exploring the castle and wedging himself between the filter and the glass (he has planty of room to escape). Magellan is a bit more passive, content to just lounge around the tank taking in a couple laps here and there. Both are WONDERFUL fishies and bring me hours of entertainment and relaxation.

I have a little blackmoor called buddy who is so cute because he is so small. I have a black fantail (bubbles) who buddy likes to hang off as if it was his mother (bubbles is a lot bigger than him). but at the moment i am worried about them because we have had them for about 2 weeks and two of our other fantail fish (jaffa and shadow) died of dropsey. buddy and bubbles seem alright but im not sure if there is anything i can do for them.
