Have had Dorothy for 3 years and presume she is getting close to her full growth. Sure hope so as she is now on her second aquarium and will go into a 5 gallon tank soon. She ? acts like all the ones written about and does give me a chuckle. Her aquarium sits next to my stove on the counter, so she is the first thing I get to interact with in the a.m. with coffee.

i bought a black moor yesterday and named him google. i thought it was an appropriate name because of his eyes. he tends to like to try to jump into my filter which is kind of amusing. i also have another 8 black moors. google seems to be the outcast in the group and stays as far away as possible from the others, but it cant be that bad because i have a 150 gallon tank

My girlfriend was feeding my black moor, and the tank light fell in; shocking my girlfriend and blowing the light bulb out in a flash. My black moor did not seem to notice the electricity that was passed through the tank. So I unplugged the light, moved my girlfriend made sure she was ok and expected the worst of my fish. When I saw the fish swimming around regularly, I fed it.

Hello! I just got a Black Moor this week, and her name is Velvet. She usually spends most of her time scavenging the small coloured rocks at the bottom, looking for food. Since she is getting used to her new surroundings, she is starting to swim up to the surface. I always leave the air pump on. (I even leave it on in my sleep!) The only time I turn it off is when it is time to clean her bowl.
I love my Black Moor!
