I've had my silvershark for about three and a half years now. He started off as being about five-six centimetres and being quite skinny. Now he is a well bodied fish about 20cm in length. I found this fish to be quite a fast growing fish feeding on bloodworms. he is quite a timid fish and does scare quite easily.

the blue danio is a very hardy fish, my sister kept it with gold fish and platys and it survived the 'green' water!

A quality complement for a cichlid tank, it uses that unused water in the tank.

These Bala Sharks are very very active, but peaceful fish. I have two of them. it's great looking at them going all over the tank! when i feed them, when they come to the top to pick up the food, they make noises. it's great to hear them eating. :))

I have enjoyed my chinese algae eater for over 13 years. He is 6 1/2 inches long. He lives with a rainbow shark and they run the 30 gal tank. He always messes up the ornaments in the tank, and he hides when you get too close to see him. Its funny. I love him a lot and hope he continues to do great.

All I can say is that i have a 6ft by 2ft tank with 40 tinfoils in it and its awesome!! I put a really strong air pump in it and they swim in the air current like a school in tight formation. At night with a strong blue or white light and its tranquil heaven. I stare for hours. They like the freeze dried blood worms. Throw it in the tank and they fight and tear it up like a bunch of paranas. Only other fish you can put in with them are fish that are small enough to swim away fast (rummynose or black neons) or of equal or greater aggression. Fish with long fins and forget it. I had a telescope goldfish in there, at first when they were smaller it was no problem but when they got bigger they got more aggressive and constantly went to eat the tail. If you want bigger tinfoils feed them chilid pelets..they eat anything! Also I spared no expense in the filtration system and products to handle more than what the tank and fish can dish out, but it wasnt much. Good luck!!

I currently have 4 of what I know as Moss Green Barbs, having the same rich & shimmery bluey green body colours, but they also have rich orange colouration on their nose and the tips of their fins. I say currently because I realised the other day that two of them are pregnant, and I came to this site to help me raise some baby fish! I put the most bulging mum in a small floating hatchery in the main tank, and she started dropping eggs today! I had to use the hatchery idea because I have a number of other fish that although live very happily with the barbs would find the eggs and baby fry a tasty treat. The other fish I have are 2 silver sharks, 2 kuhli loach, 2 bristle nose catfish, 2 gold algae eaters, 2 siamese catfish, a pepper catfish, a panda cory, 3 black widows, and a bumble bee. This is a very exciting time!

i have three silver sharks. i think they are awesome, really easy fish to have. They mind their own business and keep themselves to themsleves. I feed them flake, bloodworm, prawns, bread, peas and cucumber. They are great!
