Jeremy Roche - 2012-11-12 Do a check of your water levels. Make sure Amonia isn't too high. I would do a good water change. Maybe add some live feeders to see if you can get it's natural instincts to hunt going. Any others signs or symptoms physically with this fish?

shiva - 2010-06-18 Hello, amir I am shiva from india you can make a big head it name is huppy head feed him flower horn food like, xo huppyhead food very useful.
santosh - 2010-07-19 Feed him good gran sumo pellets and live worms. He will grow soon.
King - 2010-11-07 Supplements are good but remember that the size of the Kok (horn) still depends on the genes of the FH.
Anonymous - 2011-04-27 Taiyo humpy head give this food to that fish then its head grows usually
Brandon Smith - 2011-06-22 The size of your Flowerhorns nuchal hump is mostly determined by its genetics. Feeding high quality pellets such as New Life Spectrum and Hikari Bio-Gold+ will bring it to the maximum size it can reach.
raghu - 2011-08-09 Amir, I totally agree with Shiva, King and Brandon Smith. Even I'm using humpy head for our flower fish. I say it's the happiest. It also depends on the genes of the fish quality and even depends on its sex because males have clearer hump than females.
Arijit Sarkar - 2012-01-29 I have a 4 inch flowerhorn named Bobo. Flowerhorn at first do not want to take food, but once they starts they just love to eat.

cris - 2012-04-03 That's correct! Flowerhorns really are voracious eaters. They could consume a lot of feeds too, so it is important that you only buy those that are really exceptional in quality.
You may also want to try breeding once Bobo reaches the right size. Just research some flowerhorn breeding tips to avoid fish injury.
hanumanth - 2011-12-30 I have bought one baby flowerhorn, it is looking very fear. It is not taking any food.. and it is taking a minimum of 5-6 small stones into its mouth and releasing them back.. do I have any problem...

Charlie Roche - 2011-12-30 The picking up and then moving the gravel is normal. They just do it and sometimes create all sorts of hidey holes or gullies by moving the stones. Looking fearful??? If you just got her then possibly why as it takes a few days to accimate to new surroundings. Are you feeding your little fella the same thing he was used to eating in the store? Might want to try that or a different food but possibly just all getting adjusted. Check your tank conditions though.
abhishek sahane - 2012-02-11 If he is picking stones which have food color,he is thinking it as food and give him food by smashing (pressing by finger when it is in water)it will not float in water after some days he will eat DON'T WORRY
Syberkitty - 2012-06-11 I have a flowerhorn that I bought about 3 months ago. He was about the size of a quarter when I bought him, and now he's about 7 inches long from mouth to tail. I honestly knew nothing about flowerhorns when I bought him, but I'm concerned about how fast he's growing. How long does it take for them to reach 'full size'? Will he be 14 inches in another 3 months? Am I over-feeding him?

Jeremy Roche - 2012-06-12 That is much faster then normal. what and how often are you feeding?
Syberkitty - 2012-06-13 He's in a community cichlid tank. I feed them a combination of dried flakes, granules and some dried shrimp -- all Tetra brand. The shrimp is mainly because he's such a little piggy that he would suck down most of the food and still be hungry -- then get aggressive. (He's the only one big enough to eat the shrimp.) I feed the tank 2 times a day and all the food I put in is gone in under a minute.
shiv - 2012-04-27 I have a flowerhorn which is 11 months old but due to less space capacity in my living room I have kept it facing south. Will there be any feng shui problems????
The striking and unique Flowerhorn Cichlid hybrid is a gorgeous way to make a statement and get that "Wow!" factor in your aquarium!

Can flowerhorns lay fertilized eggs on there own?
Leonard Stanley, no, females lay eggs and the male fertilize it.
