raven_claws - 2005-04-04 I absolutly love angelfish, they are absolutly amazing, I have 4 of them now, 2 young ones about the size of a nickle which I recently got. One is a silver veiltail, and the other is a blushing. My 2 other ones are the size of silver dollars, one is a black one and the other is a golden. They are really funny to watch especially when it is feeding time. They all tend to get together in a line and they go on their sides and sway, really funny to see. They are an awesome fish and I think everybody should own them.
pet - 2005-01-15 my angels 1 marbled and two regular scalares not altums eats mosquito larvae from my hand. The male i think its a male is very bossy he chases the others away when i feed them and takes the first bites of the lunch. They are very fun too watch cause they almost seems to have a personality.
FALLON - 2004-09-21 I HAVE 3 SILVER ANGELFISH AND ONE SOLID BLACK. THE BLACK ONE AND THE SILVER ARE RAISING THEIR SECOND BATCH OF FRY IN MY 38 GALLON TANK. I ALSO HAVE 2 ALGE EATERS ( SUCKERS) THE BREEDING PAIR ARE MAKING ALL THE OTHER FISH STAY IN THE CORNER OF THE TANK. THE FIRST BATCH OF FRY DIED AND WAS EATEN BY THE MOTHER CAUSE I MOVED THEM IN ONE OF THOSE NET BOX THINGS YOU HANG INSIDE THE TANK FOR SMALL FRY, AND SHE ATE RIGHT THROUGH THE NET. 3 WEEKS LATER I NOTICED ANOTHER BATCH. THIS TIME I DECIDED TO LEAVE THEM WITH THE PARENTS AND THEY ARE BEING VERY OVER PROTECTIVE.I ALSO NOTICE THAT SOME OF THE FRY ARE STARTING TO SWIM ON THEIR OWN BUT THE PARENTS WILL PUT THEM IN THEIR MOUTH THEN BACK ON THE LEAF. SO BEFORE LONG ALL OF THEM WILL BE SWIMMING, CAN THEY GET SUCKED INTO THE FILTER TUBE OR EATEN BY THE OTHER ANGELS CAUSE THE PARENTS CAN NOT KEEP WATCH OVER ALL OF THEM.
Hannah - 2004-08-01 I have 4 Angel Fish and I love them very much. 1 is my veteran angel, he is huge, about 7.5 inches long. I just recently got him some buddies, 3 med. sized angels of differnt colors. These are amazingly smart fish with heart and brains!!! They will eat you out of house and home if you let them!!
Anonymous - 2004-07-28 Angel fish are the most beautiful elegant fresh water fish I know of, They tend to be more agressive especially when they have eggs to protect. They are definately not the easiest fish to breed.
Anonymous - 2004-06-21 I have 4 anglefish in a 150 gallon tank along with 2 bala sharks and a tin foil barb. They get along great. My anglefish is about six inches long.
Girish - 2004-05-25 I got 4 angel fishes 6 months back (2 White angels) and (2 black, white diamond angels). One of the white angels died the next day. Now I have 3 of them. The white one is 6 cms and the 2 others are about 5 cms. The smaller diamond angel is chased off by the other diamond angel. I do not know their sexes. They became aggressive. They ate away 4 small fishes (silver bars, I was told)when introduced into the tank in the night. But they are beautiful.
llisa - 2004-05-11 I put an silver angelfish with a comet goldfish and a danio zebra fish and the comet ate the angelfishes fin so do not mix angelfish with comets!!!!
Timid, temperamental, and delicate, the Angelfish is familiar to every freshwater aquarist and the most commonly kept cichlid.
