I have 4 beautiful jellybeans {pink, blue, orange, yellow} sad to say green and purple died. My four fined friends are not friends themselves.T hey are very territorial and always trying to push each other out of the favorite cave. I bought these fish because of there beautiful colors but they are always hiding. when people come over they always ask if there is anything in the tank. I thought it was beacuse it was a new enviroment. Here I am two years later still waiting for them to lose ther shyness. I have heard they are very entertaining and active.Just my luck I pick the reclusive ones. But when I can find them I still think they are beautiful.

We recently bought a bloody parrot fish. After extensive research and talking with numerous people, we put ours in my nonagressive tank with a lower PH and fish which include discus, silver dollars, severums, tetras, cory cats, and a few swords. Since we put the parrot fish in with these others I have noticed that it seems much happier and very comfortable with his or her new tank mates. What a beautiful addition...

My Texans just spawned and both are protective parents. Both parents have scooped up the wigglers now and have deposited them in a central location where they hover and fight off all comers. It looks like they are eating the fry but they are simply relocating them. Those helpless wigglers are being eyed by all and sundry. But the brave parents will not let anyone close.

I have 3 of these, and contrary to what is stated above, they are eating my hornwort plants. They do not seem to be bother any of the other types of plants though.

I have 2 yellow cichlids of opposite sex-and one fry- who is about 1/4 in long. There is a numerous amount of rocks of various sizes, and there are 5 or 6 caves of various sizes.
When I started changing the water on a weekly basis about, 40% out at a time, they started breeding- I have been watching them this week and the female just set up a place for her eggs where i cannot see them - but I know she no longer has her eggs in her mouth. There was another female, but she died just recently, I never did find her but when I was looking for her, I found the baby in between some rocks. they have given me alot of enjoyment and are very peaceful with the other cichlids in the tank. I have a 65 gallon plexiglass tank.

I have an aquarium in my bedroom with Blood Parrot fish. I enjoy watching them and find them very entertaining and friendly. I enjoy watching how they can swim sideways under things and upside down to look at the fish above. I have cory cats with them and they get along great. I do not find them shy as they will take food from my fingers and always get as close as they can when they see me. If anything I would call them happy fish.

I have two males and they are totally non-aggressive to the angelfish, silver dollars, green severum, algae eater, violet goby and baby Oscars I have in my tank. They are very lively and are continuously moving all over the tank at all water levels. Sometimes one or the other will school with either the angels or the dollars. They are all very happy together for now.

I bought one of these along with a texas cichlid, a plecostamous, an algae eater, and a few other cichlids. He was extremely territorial, and killed most of my fish. the last fish, a texas cichlid just swam at the top of the tank on some plants, half dry and baked out of water, hoping to evade the electric yellow fishes wrath.
