I have a 125 gallon tank and before getting a Red Devil I had a large Oscar(12in) large algae eater(14in)3 full grown Jack Dempsey.Got him from Petsmart. When I introduced my Red Devil to the tank(about 7 months ago) he was somewhat small, so I had to make alot of hiding places for him. As he grew, so did he aggressiveness. He killed my 2 Jack Dempsey and the last one is hanging on to his life. I have seperated him so he can heal. He had completely taken his tail off. I am still admazed how he is still alive. I love my Red Devil aka Leader. Now I have just the algae, oscar, pacu and a wounded jack dempsey. Although he has caused alot of commotion I wouldn't trade him for the world. Although I had two loses, I still wouldn't trade him for the world.

i have five yellows. and what you all must understand is that every fish is different whether its the same species or not. some yellows might be aggressive and some not. probably best that you dont feed them worms either. These fish are beautiful. i keep them by themselves too..soon to be having lots of little bubs :)

this is moshe and i have a four red devils in my 150 gallon tank. they are very agressive towards each other. they will chase all other fish away. i have two black oscars that stand up for themselves. i also have a snakeskin gauramie that is very agressive. i usually wash my tank every six months. i feed them turtle food, flakes, and feeding fish. they will eat everything as long as they fit into there mouth. i would not recommend red devils for beginners because they are very aggressive and can bite. they like to eat alot as long as they can eat in two minutes it will be fine. i highly recommend them for large tanks because they need space and if they dont it wont live and grow as fast as you want it to.

I just got a blue dolphin and it is very territorial. I have one very bossy red zebra and it showed him what's what. They are really nice and well priced.

I have a parrot fish which intersting enough paired with my jack dempsey. They produce eggs like crazy and what's more surprising is how the eggs actually hatched and now i am looking at least 80 fry in my 55 gallon and I am looking to buy a much bigger tank now. I am excited on how the fry would look like once reaching an adult state.

I had a Salvini in a 20 gal tank and he made a mess of my aquarium. He was actually fun to watch. He would spit the gravel to the other side of the aquarium. I just moved him to another tank because he keeps killing any fish I add to the tank. This is the only web site that said they weren't aggressive! They are killers!

Yea...I own two jellybean parrots, and now I own six. They had fry. So they can successfully have fry. They have had at least three batches that I have known of, and of those in the second batch, 4 of them survived. The other batches hatched, but none made it. I did not attempt to keep the second batch alive, and amazingly they did just fine by themselves with no help at all!!!

I have 1 Tiger Oscar in a 30 gallon with my Green Texas Cichlid. They are both really great fish to have, the Oscar watches anything that goes on in the room. For example I threw a pen across the room and it saw it and tried to go after it. I will soon be moving the 2 guys to my 55 gallon when I move my 24 african cichlids and my Loaches and Catfish to a 150 gallon that I'm getting in a few months. I am 17 and soon going on to university to become a Icothytologist.
