I have one oscar that i got 4 years ago. well there was originally 2 but then the other one caught a disease that i couldn't cure and eventually died after about a week. anyway when i first got the oscars they were only about an inch. now after only about four years the one thats left is now suprisingly 9 inches. i keep him alone in a 55 gallon tank. the only thing alive i keep in the tank with him are goldfish but they don't last long if you know what i mean. The oscar is a good fish to keep in a species tank but just make sure the tank is big enough or they will fight, eventually resulting in a serious injury or death. I would recommend this fish to anyone who can handle it.

I have had several parrotfish and have found them to be very entertaining fish. I really enjoy their interesting behavior and interactions with each other. They are one of my favorite freshwater fish and my parrot fish species aquarium is a constant source of conversation.

I have 3 Firemouth Cichlids and two of them are currently breeding. Instead of cleaning off a rock, they dug all the way down to the glass. They are getting very territorial and sometimes even almost killing the other fish.

Im culturing about angel fish form about last 15 years. I found that Angel fishes are very territorial, people think they are very calm but really they are not. And this property grow with their growing age. They attack not only other angles but often other cichlidae. I made an experiment with a 135 Gal tank where i placed 3 black angel fishes no other fishes in the tank though they are fighting one another.

I have a 125 gallon tank and before getting a Red Devil I had a large Oscar(12in) large algae eater(14in)3 full grown Jack Dempsey.Got him from Petsmart. When I introduced my Red Devil to the tank(about 7 months ago) he was somewhat small, so I had to make alot of hiding places for him. As he grew, so did he aggressiveness. He killed my 2 Jack Dempsey and the last one is hanging on to his life. I have seperated him so he can heal. He had completely taken his tail off. I am still admazed how he is still alive. I love my Red Devil aka Leader. Now I have just the algae, oscar, pacu and a wounded jack dempsey. Although he has caused alot of commotion I wouldn't trade him for the world. Although I had two loses, I still wouldn't trade him for the world.

i have five yellows. and what you all must understand is that every fish is different whether its the same species or not. some yellows might be aggressive and some not. probably best that you dont feed them worms either. These fish are beautiful. i keep them by themselves too..soon to be having lots of little bubs :)

this is moshe and i have a four red devils in my 150 gallon tank. they are very agressive towards each other. they will chase all other fish away. i have two black oscars that stand up for themselves. i also have a snakeskin gauramie that is very agressive. i usually wash my tank every six months. i feed them turtle food, flakes, and feeding fish. they will eat everything as long as they fit into there mouth. i would not recommend red devils for beginners because they are very aggressive and can bite. they like to eat alot as long as they can eat in two minutes it will be fine. i highly recommend them for large tanks because they need space and if they dont it wont live and grow as fast as you want it to.

I just got a blue dolphin and it is very territorial. I have one very bossy red zebra and it showed him what's what. They are really nice and well priced.
