Great fish. I have 2 in my 15 gal along with 2 blue 'bar' morphs of the same size. They get along peacefully with my squad of 6 Tiger barbs. They are great for a relatively small tanks or limited space. Very curious and will attempt to bite my finger with their tiny little mouths whenever i feed or place it in.

- Great l'il fish!

Hello! For the first time EVER I have two dempsey's laying eggs. Mind you, I have had Oscars in the past and they never bred. These dempsey's are about a year old and are absolutely fabulous! I didn't even know that the dance the male was doing was the mating dance. They have cleaned an area in their tank, as well as the thing in it in which to hide. I came home from work today (10/30) and saw eggs everywhere! Lots and Lots of eggs~! The female is watching over the eggs while the male is not too far away watching too. My b/f thought that the tank was not a friendly environment for the eggs to hatch. I told him that very much so it is, because they are really from waters that don't move. When I bought them, they were both the size of a dime and have been best friends since. And apparently they are lovers too! I have noticed today that they kiss many times. They go up to one another and kinda grab each others bottom lips ever so gently and then they seperate. They do this very frequently. hmmm now where to give/sell those babies when they do hatch! :)

I love my angelfish. He's so pretty and lively, he's a beautiful gold and has black spots on his tail and face.

The bad thing about Angelfish, though, is that they don't mix well with Pink Kissing Gouramis. My pink kissing gourami, Mina, has a bad habbit of chasing after the little Angelito and nipping at his beautiful fins. I think she's just jealous, but I'm worried she might kill him... =(

If you want to mix these two beautiful and distinctive fish, I suggest buying the angelfish a bit older so it knows how to defend itself against the malevolent kissing gourami.

I just got my Red Devil a few weeks ago and it was an awesome pale pink colour. It has just started to mottle black along the fin edges. It's pretty happy with my oscar, 5 bala sharks, 1 pleco, 3 silver dollars and a tinfoil barb in a 540 litre tank.:)

I have a baby red devil about 3 months old and a parrot cichlid (5 months old) they seem to get along okay so far. I love both of the fish as they are very commical and enjoy the space of the 60 gallon tank they are housed in. I had a baby oscar in the tank too but the red devil stressed him so bad that I had to move him to a new tank. So only time will tell as to the aggression levels. I hope peaches is not going to be a nasty fish...

I have had a male Jack for about ten years. He lives in a 50 gallon tank. He is extraordinarily large, approx 14 inches long and nearly 2 inches wide. He is Evil and beautiful. About a year ago, I was washing the dishes when a small mouse ran over my feet. I caught it and threw in the tank just to see what would happen. He hit it so hard that it startled me. He hit it a second time and the mouse was gone. A few moments later, he opened his gills and mouth and expelled fur and bone. He has killed everything that I have put in the tank including a 12 inch snakehead and a 16 inch pleco. I have his tank beside my couch and when he is hungry, he splashes me. He has a great amount of character and I will miss him greatly when he expires.

I am surprised by the responsiveness of my juvenile angelfishes. When I walk past my aquarium they all, but one in particular more, swims back and forth in front of me hoping to be fed, I assume. It steals my heart. The hardest part is trying not to overstuff them, as they are voracious eaters. In my opinion they are not the least bit shy and are not easily startled like other feisty fish. They are gentle fish most of the time and they coexist well with the rest of their tank mates. Be wary of barbs that may attack them and nip their beautiful fins, like my tiger barb which nearly decimated the fins of my marble angel; as a matter of fact he no longer has a tail!- Mirella Aldaba, 22

I have had two Red Oscars for about two months now. The really cool thing is that I have taught one of them to actually take a shrimp from my fingers! He will jump almost 5 inches straight up out of the tank to get it. These fish are VERY smart, but you need a BIG tank. Mine is 140 gallon, and though the two (there are about 10 other kinds of fish in there as well) are only about 3 inches long, they are the rulers of the tank. Pretty cool to watch. Who would've thought that fish were this smart!

I have had 3 cichild fish for two days now. They seem to really like the tank they are in so I am glad about that! I also have a filter on it too, so that the water can stay clean. I have one female, and I think the other two are males. But they get along great! I love the name electric yellow! It's so cute!
