I have a young yellow Labidochromis in a 10 gallon with rockwork and pots. S/he already reconizes me after only 2 weeks. S/he will be moved to a 29 gallon tank in around 6-8 months. the fish lived happily with 3 tiger barbs in the 10 gallon for several weeks but the barbs are sick so they were separated. Overall smart, hardy , personal, and cute cichlid. Also stay small so can be housed in 29 gallon tanks!

Breeding a kribensis fish is very easy compared to other ones. have 50 young babies of kribensis fishes and feeding the adults with earth worms and live worms mike them breed faster. I suggest this fish for the beginners who are craz in breeding.

I have 2 Tiger oscars about four inches in length ea. They are such playful and attentive fish. They feed like they were great whites taking a seal on the surface of the ocean.

I had them in a 30 gal tank for the first few weeks. Since then I bought a 110 gal. tank and moved them into that along with my foot long pleco. I keep the set up pretty bare with only some large lava rocks on the bottom forming tunnels to swim through and hide in. They seem to really love their new home and all of the play room it provides.

This tank is particularly enjoyable because I placed it in my room behind my bed as kind of a giant headboard. Every night as I fall asleep I watch them swim around. It is so awesome to lay there with my face right next to the glass and have them swim right up to me to say hello. Talk about relaxation! I get the feeling they get a kick out of watching me just as much as I do them.

I have two parrots and they are wonderful, I just fell in love with them. Nemo and Olive are playful with each other, they play tug-a-war with their mouths and they nug each other all the time. I got some pots to go in their aquarium but I'm not sure how to break and arrange them. I just put them in there on their sides and the parrots go in and look around. I put some rocks in there and the parrots go inside the pots, pick up the rocks and spit them out. they love a hole dug out in the bottom of the aquarium. they will swim really fast and rub their bellies on the smooth surface. they are funny to watch and are always doing something different. as far as their eating they love the freeze dried shrimp and will not wait for any of them to fall, they hardly come to the top and get them. I talk to mine just like I do my dog and when I do they come right in front of my face.

I have 3 of these guys from 1 to 2 inches long. i totally enjoy them more than i do my guppies or goldfish, love feeding them. My labs are in a 20 long right now but am going to add them along with some other cichlids to my 55 gallon. I had two strands of ancharis/elodea in the tank and they totally robbed one of them of their leaves so i moved it to my guppy/goldfish tank . Java fern is the choice plant, they don't touch this in my tank, not even the newly grown leaves that grow off its adult leaves. Now not only are they great to feed, but they are great to watch because of their unique behavior from other cichlids i've seen.

A Salvini will kill everything in a 20 gallon tank because its to small for anything else. Any Medium to Large cichlid in a tank that small will almost always kill or attack any other thing in such a small space.

I have 3 of these. They are very nice fish! One I have named "Groucho" because some black markings on his face make him look like the comedian.

I have two full grown oscars, one red and one tiger. The tiger oscar got a eye fungus and lost 90% of her sight, not a problem tho the red oscar never leaves her side, I think she can see out of pin holes because when food floats by she gets it, my red oscar loves to jump out of the tank he has done it in the middle of the night, thank God I heard him hit the floor. If you really want to see the true spirit of your oscar put several large cray fish in the tank. My red oscar loves them, he stalks them and then when he gets them where he wants them "BAM" he slams them against the glass knocking them out, then sucks them in tail first. They also love golf fish and earch worms that I get from the bait store. My kids love them and my wife thinks they are ugly. Right now they are in a 55 gallon tank but soon to come is a 250G tank. It is going to cost me a small fortune bit its worth it. All and all they are great pets and easy to care for. Best fish Ive ever had!
