Danny - 2005-01-11 My plecostomas is very agressive. He shares a 10 gallon tank with some mollies. The tank is overcrowded, so that may explain his aggressive behavior.

Valerie - 2004-09-06 I have had my pleco for about 4 years now. He (or she) is 12" long & lets me hand feed him flake food. When it is feeding time, he swims to the top of the water & I just drop the flakes in his mouth!!
Torrey - 2004-08-04 I have one pleco that is about 4-5 inches in my 55 gallon tank. He is new to the tank. My tank consists of 2 baby red zebra cichlids, 2 other unknown cichlids and a goldfish. My other adult cichlids are quarantined because of an illness. I am soon getting a larger pleco about 6-7 inches long. A Pleco is an extremely hardy fish. They are great algae eaters. I never had an aggressive pleco in my tank(probably because I have cichlids). Great fish.
~Vawn~ - 2004-06-19 I have an Albino Hypostomus Plecostomus.I am looking for some info on how to tell a male from a female,.this site has helped me out on some questions, but not all. My Pleco is about 4inches long. His tank mates are a few guppies, they get along fine.
DAWN - 2004-05-27 The plecostomus is an excellent cleaner for the aquarium, however, they can be very territorial. I have a 70 gal. tank with 3 discus and one 8 inch plecos. I feed him plenty, but he is so aggressive (always chasing and harrassing my discus) that I am forced to find a new home for him. Do not put your plecos with such mild mannered fish as discus.
Justn - 2004-05-14 I have had my pleco for about 3-4 months and he is great. he eats all the alge and left over food. I have him in with my 2 Blue gouramis, 2 Dwarf gouramis, 1 Gold gourami, and 1 Blue danio and he does fine. The only real problem I have with him is that he re-arranges the tank the way he wants, no matter how many times I fix it. Besides the fact they are awsome fish to keep.
jim - 2004-04-26 I have two plecos in my 55 gallon aquarium. They are very entertaining and cool to watch. They are a very good aquarium cleaner because they suck the algae right off your aquarium. I highly recomand this aquarium cleaner to anyone who has lots of algae in their aquarium.
The Leopard Plecostomus is one of the hardiest and most enduring of all catfishes!
