i have had my iridesent shark for 2 months now and he really hasn't grown much. granted he's in a 10 gallon but that's only until my 280 comes and cycles. i never see him he's always hiding. he's in the tank with 3 zebra danios a red swordtail a pleco and an algae eater. god i hope that tank comes soon. i had a 100 gallon that cracked so i had to put them in my nursing tank...but it gave me an excuse to buy a bigger tank.

I wanted to write this about my I.D Sharks. I love these guys. they are very challenging fish to keep. One of the two has had Ich, fungus, bumped his nose really bad into the side of the tank in a mindless flight and now he has developed some bacterial ulcers. He made it through all of this. A great fish to have...very hardy to have survived through all this! I bought them when they were just babies and they are now 6`` long in a matter of 4 months of ownership. I love them so much when ever I sit in front of their tank they come right up to me and swin in front of me...always being sure they keep an eye on me to make sure I am watching :) Very adorable. They were very nervous at first but now if I put Cichlid pellets in the palm of my hand and than put my hand in the tank they will feed from my palm...provided I don`t move at all. I definately recommend these guys to anybody who is able to provide alot of care, proper housing and attention the most important one. You have to catch diseases when they first start, hence, the attention part. It is sometimes difficult to see things on their bodies since they are so multi-tone. Overall a fantastic fish to own. Would do anything for them personally :)

We've had an emerald cory since 1998 (seven years!). He's moved with us from Michigan to Connecticut to New York, outliving lots of fish and surviving the cut when we took all his tank-mates back to the pet store to make moving easier. He's our favorite. After reading other comments here I think I have to get him some cory friends. He seems a little depressed and could use the company.

I have had an upside-down catfish for about 2 years now,but it is not like the other upside-downs that I have seen. It is about 8 inches long, all black with a few white spots peppering the sides. He likes to hide in plants, and when he hides near the surface, he lets me put my finger in the tank and rub his soft little belly. He is my favorite fish, and that is saying a lot because I have 7 overstocked tanks at home.

I've had Albino Corys as my bottom cleaners in my tanks for as long as I can remember. They're lively little fish, and have always been great tank cleaners. I've even put them in tanks with male Betta's with no issues. I'm also happy to announce that my current set of 4 are hopefully about to be parents (provided I can keep the guppies from eating all the eggs). I've never had them breed before!

Very attractive looking fish. I have 2 Silver-tipped Shark, 2 bala shark 1 iridescent and a pleco in a 10 gallon tank. I am moving them in a 45 gallons. I am plannig to buy a Pictus catfish and a Silver Dollar. The Black Fin is a little aggresive though. My two silver tips are always available to watch, as they never hide.

I have had my talking catfish for about three or four years, and i can probably count the number of times i have seen him come out of my castle on one hand. I would like to get rid of the castle, but i have not been able to get him out for about two years because he got big enough to wedge himself in one of the towers when i try to take it out. Im pretty sure he is one of the fatest of his species, cause i swear he is about as fat as he is long. He's about two inches wide, and three inches long. But i recommend this fish to anyone, he is probably one of the most interesting fish i have ever seen seconded only to my oscars.

I would highly advise that you keep these banjos in groups, and when you turn the aquarium lights off watch them swarm in a pack to clean up leftovers.
