I have had an upside-down catfish for about 2 years now,but it is not like the other upside-downs that I have seen. It is about 8 inches long, all black with a few white spots peppering the sides. He likes to hide in plants, and when he hides near the surface, he lets me put my finger in the tank and rub his soft little belly. He is my favorite fish, and that is saying a lot because I have 7 overstocked tanks at home.

I've had Albino Corys as my bottom cleaners in my tanks for as long as I can remember. They're lively little fish, and have always been great tank cleaners. I've even put them in tanks with male Betta's with no issues. I'm also happy to announce that my current set of 4 are hopefully about to be parents (provided I can keep the guppies from eating all the eggs). I've never had them breed before!

Very attractive looking fish. I have 2 Silver-tipped Shark, 2 bala shark 1 iridescent and a pleco in a 10 gallon tank. I am moving them in a 45 gallons. I am plannig to buy a Pictus catfish and a Silver Dollar. The Black Fin is a little aggresive though. My two silver tips are always available to watch, as they never hide.

I have had my talking catfish for about three or four years, and i can probably count the number of times i have seen him come out of my castle on one hand. I would like to get rid of the castle, but i have not been able to get him out for about two years because he got big enough to wedge himself in one of the towers when i try to take it out. Im pretty sure he is one of the fatest of his species, cause i swear he is about as fat as he is long. He's about two inches wide, and three inches long. But i recommend this fish to anyone, he is probably one of the most interesting fish i have ever seen seconded only to my oscars.

I would highly advise that you keep these banjos in groups, and when you turn the aquarium lights off watch them swarm in a pack to clean up leftovers.

I have been keeping and breeding fish for over 18 years now so believe me when I tell you that you all are gonna need much bigger tanks for your irridescent sharks. My 5 year old shark is at least 16" and had to be moved to a pond. One 2500 gal outside pond for summer,(yes I built an elaborate pond on account of 1 big fish) and a 280 gal pond for winter in my basement. The shark now shares his ponds with koi and goldfish. Not the ideal setup ie. tropical mixed with coldwater, but they all have gotten along fine for the last 3 years, no deaths or illness of any kind. The biggest koi, only 3 years old is almost as big as the shark now. The ponds were needed after the shark outgrew my 90 gal tank, the biggest tank I have at this time(not by choice of course). Too many injuries were occurring in the 90 gal, resulting in much scar tissue on his nose.

We have two of them, the 1st one we got last year was a real baby about 1/2 inch long. About a week later it had a growth spree,it got to be a inch. We then went and got our 2nd one, it too was a baby. we have strange water where we live (we think)because within 2 full months one of them reached 2 1/2inches and the other wasnt too far behind in length. for a bit there, my husband and I thought that the big one was dead several times cause he wouldnt move or anything for several days. We came to learn that was normal for them. we have had these 2 now for a little over a year. the 1 first one is over 5 inches long and during its growth we suspect it was the S.O.B that ate our rosey barbs & cherry barbs, as a means of a late night snack attack! the 2nd one is just chilling on the growth thing for now we think! We have a 50 gal bow front with a wide vareity of fish in it(3 bala sharks, 1 tinfoil barb, 2 cory cats, 1 pictus cat, 1 8"upside down cat (named pete: he is all black, no dots or anything, never seen one like pete before, and we have a pleco, lacydontus, and 2 shubunkins. they all enjoy themselves and get along nicely.
