Hi everyone, these huge fish are very big carnivores. They happen to get very big lumps under there belly after they have eating alot of small fish or 1 big fish. I know they get lumps cuz they show pics of them with lumps and my Tiger shovelnose get lumps to. There was a 7 inch Red tail at Pet Paridise. it was there for about 2 and a half weeks then it was gone. i think they gave it to a pet store that has a bigger tank for it. when they got rid of it they put 2 Florida Gars in it and some cichlids in the tank.

i got two albino sharks and one normal grey/black one. they turned pretty agressive over the years and no matter what cleaner fish i put they always kill it. two corydoras about 2" gone in the first week. i also got them a lobster to pick up the food remains but after a month or so i only found its shell. im absolutely sure this anti-organism shark mafia has somthing to do with the fact that i give them guppys as a main part of their diet. the two albinos are 1 foot long while the blue/grey is something like 7".

I got a Lace Cat about a year ago. I have an unusual assortment of fish, but they work wonderfully together! I have a 50 gallon with 4 HUGE goldfish, 1 butterfly pleco, 3 cory cats, 2 apple snails, and my beautiful Lace Cat. The lace cat has grown like a champ! I cant believe how much it has changed and the size it is now! It is wonderful to watch, I am just fascinated by him. He does hide during the day, but he'll come out if I feed them. I just think he's a wonderful addition to the tank!

Even when raised together, they WILL become aggressive towards their own kind (especially males). Plecos won't bother angelfish or discus (that's chinese algae eaters). They don't only swim in the bottom of the aquarium, they will stick to the sides too. Plecos do just fine in hard, alkaline water. Of course they don't eat blue algae, that's a colonization of bactieria, not an algae. The pictures at the top both depict Sail fin plecos, not common plecos. There are huge differences between different types of plecos, it's not simply a matter of color. Fish from the family ancistrinae ARE plecos.

These fish are a great community fish. At first he did kinda try to push my other fish but now he is doing great. He shares the tank with 5 goldfish, 2 rosy barbs, and 3 guppies (1 male guppy and 2 females). He lives in a 10 gallon tank. He once got attacked by a Chinese algea eater, but soon the Algea eater died. Plecos do the same job as a chinese algea eater but they do it better and they dont fight at all. They are much better to keep than the so called Chinese algea eater. He sometimes hides. Although they do starve, one was 7inches but he died because he starved. You may want to feed them algea waffers unless you think that there is enough algea for him not to starve. They live very well, do not waste your money on a so called chinese algea eater because they dont work well and they dont live as well as pleco. so just buy a pleco even though they might cost a bit more. But remember you will want a 5 gallon tank or more if want him to live long. Well thats all.

We have two Albino Cories in our office tank and they are adorable. They seem to enjoy swimming against the current that the filter makes and have provided hours of enjoyment for the staff. They are so relaxing, and quite funny to watch. They get along with other fish and keep the tank clean. My favorite fish by far.
