Today I bought a medium sized comet and a medium sized blackmoor. I added them to my tank which was already home to a redcap and a shubunkin. My comet which is yet to be named is very crazy as he was jumping around in the bad desperate to be free. He/She is really slender and beautiful. I enjoy watching my 4 fishes swimming around.

I have 2 yellow cichlids of opposite sex-and one fry- who is about 1/4 in long. There is a numerous amount of rocks of various sizes, and there are 5 or 6 caves of various sizes.
When I started changing the water on a weekly basis about, 40% out at a time, they started breeding- I have been watching them this week and the female just set up a place for her eggs where i cannot see them - but I know she no longer has her eggs in her mouth. There was another female, but she died just recently, I never did find her but when I was looking for her, I found the baby in between some rocks. they have given me alot of enjoyment and are very peaceful with the other cichlids in the tank. I have a 65 gallon plexiglass tank.

My tank is 40 gallons and is inhabited by a Ryukin ("Bling-Bling"), an Oranda ("Potbelly") a Fantail ("Fanny"), and a Mystery Snail. The Ryukin used be completely calico colored but now only her fins are black, orange and white - her hump and belly are almost entirely gold and white. She was the same size as the Oranda but when I got her last April but is now double that size - about the size of an orange. She is also "personality plus", and makes loud smacking noises to beg for food when she sees me come in the room !!

They truly are beautiful fish. I have 6 in a 10 gallon tank. Although I cannot tell male from female, I must have some of both cause they keep having fry. They make a great first pet.

I have 2 banjos. I actullay picked up 1 dead one with my fingers to throw him out, But he "Felt" alive. I let him drop back into the tank and he was still dead. The next morning he had moved, and the next again.
They are ugly (Even a mother would have second thoughts). Boring (I have never seen either of them move under there own steam). Even when you can find where they are you usually cant see them,(Buried in sand or under bog wood. So why do I openly admit to them being my favorites. I must be as dense as the rest of you guys....... ! ! !

I bought my Raphael just over five years ago. He was about 3" then and is now nearly 7" long. I have him in a thirty gallon tank with a pictus cat and 6 large cichlids. Everyone gets along famously!
