What is stated in the above description may have been true years back, but not the case today. I would say these corals should only be attempted by experienced reefers, not beginners. Furthermore, there are more and more reports that indicate these corals do much better under low to moderate lighting and metal halide is definitely NOT recommended.
I would have to say that given the poor survival rates of today, it would be much better if people stopped buying them and leave them in the wild, where they belong. Hopefully someday the problem will be solved and the aquarium trade can again enjoy keeping these magnificent corals with relative ease...

I recently purchased a medium size Euphyllia ancora. It sees to have been damaged at one end or the 'T' shaped branch and is developing a brown jelly infection. Is there anything I can do to save this coral?

I have had my frogspawn for several months. It is a beautiful pink shade. It seems to be very happy sitting on the sand in the aquarium. Since I have owned it, it seems to have grown new branches. I do not have it near any other coral or creature that it can sting. However, many of my fish swim under and around it all the time. It has been a great addtion to my aquarium and has not been difficult to care for at all.

Bubble corals are recommended for beginners. My first coral was the bubble coral. I bought it around 1 and 1/2 month ago, now the coral is still healthy and feeding.

I have very nice large group of Fox coral that I have had in my 125 gal. tank for 5 months now, low in the tank and under metal halide lighting. Look like large puffy pillows during the day. Use Dt's and marine snow for food. Give them lots of room as they expand about 5 times their size during the daytime. Under low flow as well. Easy and beautiful coral.

I got a frag of branching hammer, it's a great coral and thrives in low light levels.

I have kept the Fox Coral in my 150 gallon reef tank for about 8months and it has done excellent under metal halide lighting also comes out to its full extent and it looks incredible. Recommend this coral to anyone who is trying to keep it. It's one very attractive coral.

Elegance corals back in the day were fairly hardy to keep but in the coming years they have been more and more difficult to keep. Most people think this is because they are now more rare on the usual areas of the reef and come from deeper down on the slopes. Take care in the specimen that you are purchasing. Make sure it is not damaged and in top shape. Damaged elegance corals tend to die very quickly.

Have had this coral for a few days now and love it. I had to mount mine to live rock using a two part epoxy to keep them from tumbling over. Neon green frogspawn is the best looking in my opinion.
